Sadly, all of these reviews are very old, and maybe when the school wasn't the greatest. It has definitely improved over the years we have been in the district and my kids have flourished. The staff, teachers, admin - they all love these kids and are only looking out for the best in these kids!

Graduated in 97 from Moody ISD. Alot of things have changed for the better and worst. The school like all small towns our community loves their athletics. I moved back in 2004 after graduing from college to help guide, lead and add fresh direction. Immediately I interjected myself into my students school task/activities. Met with smiles and can't wait but then after numerous efforts and planning the school dosen't want help and dosen't even think they need it. The TAKS test @ the Middle school level is basic knowledge test, to strugle with this identifies poor learning activities and teacher assistance. There is a triangle of communication between the school (principal, teacher), student and parent without it there is no hope. Its the community of Moody which allows this to occur so before I blame others I blame myself for not taking a proactive approach. In 2011 we will see even more changes so hold your breath

This is a typical High School with the exception that the teaching staff still act like they are in high school. They are cliquish, and are NOT kid friendly! There two english teachers that are not good for kids. They are "gotcha" teachers and cause low moral amongst the faculty/staff with their vicious gossip about kids and staff. They are also vindictive towards students they do not like. They should not be teachers. There are several really outstanding teachers such as Mr Brunell, and Mrs Haigood. The principal is a proactive guy who tries really hard . Athletics has a good program, and band is great!
