After my first two weeks there, I saw minimal cleaning and have gotten sick from the school. They have one unproductive and inconsistent counselor, not to mention the messy admin. Instead of doing things right they tell how its, "nonnegotiable" to not only students but staff. They had put two different honors classes in the same period, leaving none for other periods so some students may have no better choices. They have lack of preparation leaving students and staff to do everything last minute like pep rallies and do a poor job of keeping students excited. Students are very obnoxious, no real discipline and school is not strict at all. No one pays attention, teachers aren't very engaged, and the curriculum choices aren't big. Breakfast is served in class, if you're lucky enough to get someone to take it to your classroom. Menu is lacking and boring, always one choice for lunch which lacks any flavor and generally is disgusting. A lot of funding was put into technology, with it being not that great and unused. Teachers rely on students having their phones at hand rather than going to a computer lab or teaching them in their notes, making learning a bit useless; some students may not have technology able for them. Instead of getting assigned lockers you have to sign up for them. Very small district, not worth living in or attending to. Lack of staff, instead of holding an event somewhere they would rather do it outside so they do not have to clean. Would not recommend.

I'm really happy about this new principal at high school of natalia, she is making a difference for good there. High school has a excellent academic curriculum and a good athletic system. I will not move my boy from high school where he is already getting credit hours for college and he is only in 10 grade.
