I have had to move around quite a bit and, as a result, have had experiences with many schools in this city. The staff have been highly communicative about my child's performance as well as the more in-depth areas where she struggles. In a collaborative effort between myself and her teachers, my child has jumped three grade levels in her reading performance in the one year she has been here. I've noticed that some schools that turn out high-achieving students only seem to focus their attention on children that are already high-achievers so my daughter consistently fell through the cracks. The teachers here have collaborated with me and have come up with their own strategies to help my own struggling child grow while also telling me when my child has worked especially hard or achieved a learning milestone. I expect that by the end of this upcoming school my child will have completely caught up to her peers. They've pushed her to excel without making her miserable. She has looked forward to returning to school all summer. My only regret is that this will be her last year with them as she moves on to middle school.

This school has a fantastic environment. It is welcoming, fun, exciting and engaging to be a student, teacher, parent and community member of this great school. We have noticed the teachers love the grade they are teaching; happy teachers equals happy, learning students. Students and their families like to participate in the activities Redland Oaks offers. From Popsicle with the Principle to Bike Rodeo all the way to the famous end of year Dance Off. All that can come out and watch. Do come and watch!

A lot of the reviews were old and outdated. There has been a new principal since the reviews. Redland is an A rated school by TEA. They ranked above 10 in the district for overall scores. This school is small and close.

In addition to supporting an environment of honesty, integrity, and fairness; this school expects each student to develop into leaders and have an active program to that end.

Well established school with a great staff dedicated to excellence. The teachers do an excellent job focusing on the needs of the students and creating an wonderful environment of inquiry and learning. My kids actually love going to school because of Redland Oaks.

I purchased my house in NEISD because my realtor assured me it was the best district in San Antonio. I have to disagree! We have lived in many cities throughout Texas and have never had as many issues as we have had at Redland Oaks. Many of the teachers and staff should not be around children. I feel, I know the problem is the principal. Every time I meet a new parent they cannot wait to share the disgust they have for the school and especially the principal. As a parent who would love to volunteer and be a part of my child's school experience, it is a shame that I cannot. I will share a few of the issues: teachers telling the class they are a disappointment, A and B report cards when a child cannot read, staff lying and cover ups, inconsistent regulations, translating the NEISD handbook to suit their needs, I can go on. It is exhausting! I can completely see why my neighbors who are both principals send their child to a different school. My husband has experienced the abuse as well, it is a shame but I feel we need to put our house up for sale to move on!

Both of my children attended kinder through fifth grade at Redland Oaks and it is a wonderful school! All of the teachers and staff are caring and highly qualified. To the parent that thinks the prek teachers are "talking about her", really? Get back on your meds, dear. This school is great and the staff works very hard to help all the children achieve their highest potential. Usually the parents who are critical are the ones who are not involved in their child's education or have unrealistic expectations.

I think this school is no good, my child is in pre k there those teachers are great! When I drop my child off the teachers that are standing by the front doors are rude and treat me with disrespect, I have reported them and now when I go to drop my child off they stare at me and start talking to each other about me, I really don't like this school at all!

I was at Redland Oaks from Kindergarten to fifth grade and I will never forget where my roots were established. Here is a list of the teachers I had: Jackson/Henry - Kinder Hoover - 1st Johnson - 2nd Quintanilla - 3rd Bryce - 4th and my favorite, Winton/Stearns/Lucero - 5th This school was absolutely amazing and I had a great experience. If you are moving I would buy a house in this general area just for Redland Oaks.

This school has an Exemlary Rating for testing due to the dedication of its faculty and staff. I have been impressed since I visited this campus when my son was in a different school district and struggling. We moved into the NEISD district so our son could attend this campus. It has a long standing reputation for excellence with community relations. They believe in collaboration and teaching the whole child. The faculty works well together and always strives to do what is in the best interest of the child. It is a small campus and feels like a family. I have always felt welcome to get involved and help out or just visit my child during his lunch period. The campus is clean and well run. If you are looking for a wonderful educational experince for your child this is the campus for you!

I have had three children attend Redland Oaks Elementary. Two of my children are dyslexic and had significant delays in Reading. There "dyslexia" specialist is top notch. My children were able to catch up and are "A" students now. She is an Angel. Parent involvement is highley welcomed. The school is small in comparison to others in our district. We have had mostly positive experiences with teachers there. No school is perfect. Overall, I have been extremely happy with our experience there and can't say enough good things about Redland Oaks.
