This school is so stupid, DO NOT go to it. there are kids screaming slurs and the teachers do nothing. a kid got caught with 18+ gay furry stuff that he was sharing with another student, and the did NOTHING. I also got in a fight because a kids punched me, and they punished me for defending myself. the teachers also don't put grades in skyward, and I do all my work and still fail. I also wrote a poem about Jesus and my woke teacher completely ruined it and then said it was offensive, meanwhile kids are writing about how they hate America.

they wouldn’t let me get the food my friends mom got us even tho my mom consented to it
we had a situation that happened with a couple of students and they told us to stop reporting it because it’s dumb and i got yelled at in the middle of the hallway because a situation that happened was all my fault when i just told them what happened

Teachers need to practice what they preach...KINDNESS, ANTI-BULLYING, and COMPASSION. My kids have repeatedly complained that several of their teachers are mean, make fun of students during class if they ask for help, and some just have anger management issues. Bush strives to be the "premier" middle school, but the only way to become “PREMIER” is to start with your teachers and lead them to provide ENCOURAGEMENT rather than insults. You are the role models. DO BETTER.

If you have special needs children going here, make sure you know your rights and the laws and check in with teachers and your child consistently, because staff doesn’t always follow ieps and bullying is common place among some teachers, as well as kids and even the administration. Retaliation against children and ridicule in front of the entire class happens far too often.

I have had three kids go through Bush MS, all of them had a great experience and were very much prepared for HS. My kids were proud to be Bulldogs and have fond memories of middle school.

I just finished 7th grade at this school, and this is my worst experience of school. The academics at this school is horrible for me, in the ways that it’s incredibly easy. In some classes (especially in 6th grade) I learned things that I already learned in 3rd grade. I am not being challenged at all. Many students are also incredibly disrespectful and use hateful language. Many also skip classes or their detention, vape and do drugs. The teachers aren’t that good too. One reading teacher is disabled with her legs and has severe asthma. My friends who have had her always report her doing the bare minimum and is always misplacing papers. This is similar to other teachers but on a less severe degree. However, I know a lot of other good teachers. For my elective experience, If you’re going to take debate, don’t. I took it for the whole year and only had two tests that were in the beginning of the year. The advanced students teach the class and the mostly played on our phones. For art, the teacher doesn’t know how to teach and the only kids in that class are troublemakers who can’t choose any other elective. This school gets a lot of good reviews, but for me and my sister it is a horrible experience. Also, this next year they’re requiring clear backpacks and increasing security, so expect that.

Great teachers! My son loved it! Challenging but in a way that the students remained motivated but not burned out. My son excelled and always speaks kindly about his time here. (Ronald Reagan Freshman now)

We are a military family and have lived in many states and attended many schools. My daughter attended 8th grade here and she loved it! Teachers and students are wonderful! She made lots of friends! The school is run very well. Everyone is so friendly. We also loved band! academics are hard and she did get the normal amount of homework. I love how the school has time in the mornings or after school if the kids need help with anything. Also Love how the teacher will text you with updates and reminders! Can't say enough on how wonderful this school is.

My son is in 6th grade at Bush. He was homeschooled up until this year. He has dyslexia and dysgraphia so we almost didn't enroll him in public school when we enrolled his siblings, but it has turned out to be a great experience for him. The teachers have been so great about following his accommodations. His case manager sends out regular emails letting us know when tests are coming up and big projects are due (this is great since my son's memory isn't the greatest). We've had absolutely no issue in the transition to middle school and I really credit the teachers with that. They really seem to care and help the kids whenever they can. We're definitely happy to have our son at Bush!

As a current eighth-grader at this school, I can say that it is a good school. Not all of the teachers are great, certain members of the staff have been engraved in my mind forever as "that janitor who wouldn't stop yelling at us for no reason and pushed me because I was walking too slowly" or "that coach who judged the heck out of me." But the majority of the staff are excellent, sincere, and kind-hearted. The G/T English program is incredible, but I can't say the same for the math, algebra, and geometry classes. They give you hasty instructions and at least one sheet of homework literally every night. Very stressful and hard on the other students and I. The fine arts programs are amazing, especially choir! The new principal isn't as good as Mr. Hoyer was. And to the person who said that some classes are in trailers... They're portables. Air conditioned and heated mobile classrooms with all the functionality of a regular one.
