New to the area and neighbors recommended this school over idea down the street.
Everyone is very unprofessional, and the staff in the front is no different. They all look like they regret walking in every morning. The 504 is a joke, my son has to ASK for his extra time rather separating him from the class as a whole for testing so he doesn’t feel forced to complete. On serval occasions my child was hurt on campus and everytime is was “out of view” or “ he-said-she-said” words of the principal. Once I challenged the principals opinion on my son coming home with a bruise she was RUDE and defensive. The ladies in the front office are always “munching” on snack and will lick their fingers clean of food and proceed to flip through papers and hand it to me. I called once asking if my child could be pulled from class and the lady whom answered the phone told me “no we don’t do that, goodbye” and hung up on me. I cannot wait for the year to be completed so I will never have to deal with such unhelpful people

I would recommend Adams Hill as a 7 out of 10. The students have made great gains with 67% in reading, 73% in Math, and a 82% in Science. We still have work to do for writing with 52%, but we have many activities, interventions such as a Writing teacher to assist all students to help continue our growth. We scored a 78 out of a 100 for the A-F Accountability rating and know we will continue to grow. Our biggest gain was the growth our students had in one year. Come be a Patriot!

I love Adams Hill. I love how close knit the campus is, I actually request for my children to attend the school.
Teachers who have retired still come back and work with the students and give them that extra support. My children love their school and teachers.

My sincere compliments for the professional approach to my child Mrs Guffey. She is an awesome and professionally equipped teacher . I strongly recommend she becomes a role model for all the teachers. I come from Europe and my son adopted to the changes perfectly with the help of Mrs Guffey

My son went to this school for second grade, and I will never allow him to go back. Just look at the demographics, test scores mean nothing. They prep the kids on the tests alone and the children aren't retaining the information. My son was bored out of his mind. I have never seen a group of such impolite children or teachers with such little control. My son didn't learn anything here except to act like all the fools around him. It took me two weeks of summer vacation to correct his bad behavior, and now he is finally my sweet boy again. I should have taken him out on back to school night when I saw some of the parents with teardrop tattoos on their faces. I'll trust my intuition more next time.

This is not a good school. Kids are violent and unruly. I hope the children learn how to prosper in life but DO NOT send your child here. The NISD discriminates by forcing only the schools with disadvantaged youth to wear uniforms. This is one of them. By NISD standards, school HAS to wear uniform=bad school.

1st of all why does anyone want to talk down on the Spanish culture we suffered enough and 2nd we don't get royalty some of the staff really need a hug or something because those individuals treat everyone unfairly this is a great school they just need to remember that if those individuals don't like there jobs, do us all a favor & change professions
