If there was less than Zero for a score that would be my choice for this horrible school. It's administrative staff has a more incline to lgbtq and bullies. Special education is at the bottom of the totem pole it seems that bullying that assist with the students whether in class or in a unit is not important. If these children are being victims of bullies whether in passing. cafeteria, PE or in the classroom, they don't get addressed as same bullying continues. The staff that assists the students are stretched out meaning if a staff member has to leave the specialized unit for any reason, a substitute who is not capable of doing anything or trained if something happens in the unit and doesn't care or looks the other way. The victim either for acting out verbally or defending one self will get punished. The bully continues in the school and the victim is cornered to either act out, defend one self or give in and take on peer students. This is hopeless which I think the state should get involved and fire all staff and bring in majority male African American administration to make drastic changes on staff and repercussions on what bullys do and apply due punishment.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. This school made me depressed and ashamed of myself. The school is full of bullies, the staff sucks, and nobody there cared about anything. Some of the teachers were decent, others were not, if you want a feeling of what hell is like, come to this school, once you go out, you'll never want to go back in.

I used to go here. I wouldn't recommend going here if it isn't your home campus. I felt like they treated us like elementary schoolers with the phone policy. The bathrooms are also dirty. I found a vandalized stall somewhere on the A floor classrooms. A week later I walked into the same stall and it was still there. I didn't really have any problems with the teachers, except for one of them that yelled at me. I didn't feel like I fit in with other students either.

This “school” is terrible. Not only are many of the students bullies, but the teachers are too. If your child likes being told that their teacher will break their legs for not performing as teacher expects, this is the place for you! Admin does not care if students hit, slap, or cuss each other out, they cannot keep track of paperwork, why should they care about the behaviors of their students or staff? It’s disgusting the way this school has fallen off from what it used to be. They also will not adhere to learning disabled ieps, without the parent constantly fighting for their child to receive services.

My two children recently went through 6th-8th grades at Stevenson. They were very involved in athletics and advanced academics. They were extremely well prepared for the rigors of high school. The administration & faculty were very caring and knowledgeable. Stevenson is a great middle school where all children can thrive.

I've been very pleased with this school so far. I was nervous about my son starting middle school but it has been a good experience.

The amount of homework is reasonable, and tutoring is available before and after school. 6th graders have an advisory class that they can finish homework in as well. My son had little or no homework when he got home thanks to the advisory class.

The principal and dean always stop and say hi to the parents. I see them at school events as well.

As a parent, I would say that this is an amazing school. My son loves it, especially being in his Career Portals Technology class with Mr. Flores. He really enjoys robotics & engineering and has nothing but great things to say. Mr. Baldridge is also an amazing principal who truly cares about his students. 5 stars here!

We are a military family that related to the school. Let me just say, the lady in the front office is terrible.
She is the first person you meet and she sets a very bad tone for the entire school.
When we went to register she was extremely rude. She assumed we lived in an apartment and was not friendly at all.
I had another bad experience with her when i went to the school and requested to speak with the counselor.
I sat and waited for 10 minutes, when I approached the desk again to check the status, she told me the counselor was gone for the day, she saw me sitting there waiting and never told me.
Last, I dropped cupcakes off for my son for his lunch because it was his birthday. She never called him down to the office to get them. She gave them to my other son after school ENDED. The cupcakes were all melted because she put them in pantry or cabinet of some sort.
I am very upset and displeased. I I don't know if anyone else had ever had a problem with her, or if it's just something she has against my children and family. But i really do not appreciate being treated so poorly.

Average school. Good and bad things could be said about it. It is located in a great area, but you have to wonder where some of these bad kids come from?!! If your child puts work into the academics, then they can prepare them for the next level. As in life, just tell your child to stay away from troublemakers.

I had two children begin 6th grade at Stevenson MS in 2012, and after six months in this school I removed them and began homeschooling. This school was awful; there were so many problems and the change in my kids demeanor was drastic and grades declined. they were bullied, and because they were not discipline problems, they were often ignored by staff and seem to fall through the cracks. My daughter was depressed and terrified to go to school; Admin. seemed uninterested in fixing the issues and the lame attempts they made were dismissive and placed blame on my daughter.
