Front desk are unacceptably rude and unprofessional. Today is 5th grade promotion. Lorraine at the front desk refused family member entry into the ceremony through the front door to continue celebrating with her 5th grade sibling. She was rude and dismissive in her demeanor. This is the not the first time I have reported the ladies at the front desk. Formal complaint will be Made to the district. I would not recommend the Lorraine to be the face of the school as her front desk position represents the school and school ethics.

Great school, great teachers, excellent music program & librarian. Horrible location and boundaries for kids to attend are silly. We bus our kid twice as far as the closest elementary.
The school is overcrowded.
Texas is an awful state to have kids in public school overall, but the elementary school does the best with what they have.
The teachers are the heros here. God bless them for putting up with the environment and regulations they teach under.

Very rough first year with our first child in K. Teacher sent home notes every day regarding each and every minor misstep our child had. I could tell the teacher cared greatly, but this was extraordinarily stressful and unnerving. Spoke with two other parents when I began to think my child may have some serious issues to address only to find that these notes were the norm. Hoping for a better year nxt yr now knowing what to expect. Very good communication with all staff. Tons of fun family activities through the booster club. The school is definitely growing, but is smaller by comparison to other NISD elementary schools.
