My child had a horrible first year from the bullies to the teachers and principal doing absolutely nothing helpful regarding the children they would wait until my child was completely failing to let me know of any further action being taken if I could rate a 0 I would teaching the next generation is no joking matter do better Rayburn do better

I've asked for teachers to contact me and keep me informed on my daughter and her behavior/performance. I have received absolutely nothing.

No discipline with students or their staff very unorganized and rude

No follow up with parents, my child's grades have fallen since going to this school.

The academic challenge is almost non existent and the girls athletic coaches are a joke. The girls b team coach in particular for basketball has no business coaching a sport she knows nothing about. She sits on the bench and plays with her hair most of the time and teaches none of the basics which is apparent on the court. These girls are being cheated out of learning experience...so sad.

Stay away if you can. There are gangs and it is a very rough school. My sister went here and constantly saw kids get jumped and harassed.

We moved here from out-of-state and my son has attended 6th grade at Rayburn. The reputation is terrible, so I was very afraid. The kids do not have lockers, have to have see-through back packs, and wear uniforms. My son has survived, with minimal bullying. The teachers there seem to be really nice, helpful, and caring. The students there are what creates the issue. Academically, the school is pretty good.... socially, it's on the rough side. I'm hoping my children wont have to go there next year, as my daughter is entering Middle School, but it wouldn't be the end of the world. The Orchestra and Band programs are beginning to thrive.
