This has been the very best elementary school. The staff is kind and friendly. Our children have learned so much. They offer many great extra curricular programs for our kids. Our kids love attending this school.

The vast majority of teachers are quite dedicated. With competent, energetic, proactive leadership and resources, this school could be wonderful. If your child is an average kid with no issues they will be just fine. If you child is exceptional, they will not be challenged. If you child needs help....good luck.

Teachers communicate lessons and expectations well and generally keep parents informed of changes in curriculum.

They try so very hard but do not seem empowered to initiate or facilitate effective change in processes that frustrate them.

Mr Funkhauser is very adept at deflecting or deferring parent concerns, but I have not once witnessed him lead and initiate a solution.

Some of the kids get physical. Its kids. It would be better if it didnt happen, but it happens.

So far, nothing but positive experiences. Mr. Funkhauser seems to be a good leader for the school.

Braun Station is a great school that continues to get better. Students are challenged by teachers each day to make decisions and work to become great students and citizens. The administration is very involved and is student focused while listening to parents. I highly recommend this school to anyone looking to move into this area. Go Bobcats!
