We have been very happy with our children attending NWC. From our own experience the staff goes out of their way to make kids feel safe, seen and supported.

I have had 2 children go to this school. One of my children has Adhd and I must say this school is great with children without special needs. We have had so much trouble getting my child the help he needs and I have heard the same complaint from other parents of special needs kids. The principal has no clue about what's going on. I have witnessed the staff yelling at the kids in both the highway and cafeteria. After informing the principal she stated she was not aware of those things happening and she would talk to the staff. Less then a week later I witnessed the same behavior. The teachers lose paperwork continually and blame other reason they don't have it. To put bluntly I'm moving out of district and it's a shame because I love my neighbourhood.

I cannot say enough great things about this school and staff. My son has attended for PK, K and 1st and we are so terribly sad to leave this school. My son has had siginficat behavioral issues which has been difficult on my son, my husband and I alike. And not once did the teachers, admiinstrative staff, or behavioral specialty staff shame us. In fact, they came together with us and worked dilligently to set my son up for success. It was a team effort that got my son through his first three years of school. I was many times moved to tears with the kindess and love these people showed my son, even in his most trying moments. Even more, much of the staff live in the area so you see them at the children's soccer games, HOA events, or at the pool over the summer. My son always thought his teachers were there just to cheer him on. As a parent at the end of the day, you want your child to feel loved, safe, and given the opportunity to succeed. The staff of Northwest Crossing Elementary go above and beyond for the love of the job and children. Their dedication to their proffession is evident in everything they do.
