The administration staff are poorly mannered. I’m so glad I got my daughter withdrawn from this school. The staff act so rude and disrespectful as if they were the students. Please do better and at least say hello to. The parents no matter what’s going it’s unprofessional

I Love O’Connor high school I just graduated from thair, I would say I liked it a lot better than Brandeis High school and Anne Frank Inspire academy high school, I thought the kids thair whare so nice, less drama, and more welcoming. Brandeis High school I thought was full of drama, lots of fights, lots of people that are against each other that either minority groups or extracurricular groups that are against each other. Anne Frank was similar, but worse people were discriminating over there against special ed kids and kids thair whare so werid. At Oc I find it more laid-back, it’s very cold structured a lot of people say they don’t like it because of the Open out door hallway campus, but then I’m like well you’re gonna have that in college it’s a good way to represent how college is, I know it sucks during like bad weather days, but it’s just the way how it is. But it could also use some remodeling. But that’s my review in my experience on O’Connor high school i feel like it’s the best high school in Northside ISD!. less fights, less drama and less hate I hope that everyone has the same experience.

The teachers don’t seem to care if the students learn or retain information. Everything is staar test centered (like most of Texas). Male students are often not spoken to if their behavior is poor whereas female students seem overly punished for the same behaviors. This also includes drug activity on campus. In one case, the girl was expelled while the boy was allowed back due to his parent being an attorney. Harassment is prevalent, discipline is rare. Teachers also play favorites in grading and if your child is absent, good luck getting timely assignments for them to complete. I have had two children attend this school. It has been a cesspool for years.

Let me start off with I am a huge supporter of public education, our teachers and give a lot of second, third, fourth chances. Texas schools are a 3rd world country so if you're up north or east, stay.
O'Connor administration is weak, biased, and it's not pro-student, at all. They are pro-funding and won't deal with poor teachers. The chemistry classes have 1 classroom with natural gas for bunson burners and 1 classroom with a vent hood that works. 800+ students....1 chemistry class with functional equipment.
The teachers don't have paper to print assignments. The school's mandatory laptop computers have NO YOUTUBE CONTROLS. My kid watched anime for 5 hours a day. I'm not kidding, we check his history. The teachers pass kids just to get rid of them. If a parent argues, get an A. The good teachers are leaving. This is our third kid at OHS and we cannot wait to be through.

Test score are Pathetic. Check yourself. The Administrators are apathetic and just want parents to go away. The teachers hate their jobs and I would to if I worked there. We have donated hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars and the school just keeps deteriorating.

I had two daughters attend O'Connor High School and both went on to obtain higher degrees. They were well prepared for college and the academic competition they had to endure to excel. I am very pleased they were so well prepared.

O'Connor provides a good overall high school experience with many additional programs, such as the Ag Program, that encourage students to join extracurricular clubs/organizations to enhance the high school experience. Both my daughters participated in the Ag program and as a family, we enjoyed many activities associated with this program.

If you child has special needs they allow coaches to look over them these coaches think it is ok to bully and even touch the kids to cause a reaction, I have video and voice on file. If your child tell you about the issue they will believe they coach and not your child. I will be talking to parents who have had kids in the BMC class to see their experience. the only option they gave me to protect my son from BMC Behavior Management class is a list of 30 other schools. Students do not respect each other and bullying and shaming is high here. Students take pictures of other students in locker rooms and there is no teacher presence. Students verbally abuse and bully other students yet continue to be out in leadership roles so other students are scared to report due to retribution. High lack of integrity, compassion and common human decency.

There is no real leadership presence. Teachers and staff are VERY aware of bullying and hazing within certain extracurricular and cadets and turn a blind eye.

Horribly Poor! If I could do it all over again I would’ve have purchased a home elsewhere as this high school and the lack of leadership, administrative presence has been a huge issue for our student that even resulted in professional help. I can’t believe it is tolerated like it is especially in programs where leadership and character should be building blocks. I also cannot believe the coaching staff and in this day and age of cyber bullying that there is not more of a presence in locker rooms and students torment and photographer one another and post on social media.

My sons have had an excellent experience at O'CONNOR. Everything about this school is top notch. Administration & faculty are very knowledgeable, and truly care. It is a tight knit and supportive community. We have been especially impacted by the athletics department and the advanced academics. Bottom line, there is something for everyone at O'Connor. All the advantages of a large school, with a small community feel.

All three of my children attended and excelled at OHS. We were very playful in selecting this area over 15 years ago and have had nothing but positive experiences with the district and O’Connor High
