I want to move to this side and after reading the reviews! I’ll send my child to another school instead of going to prison. It’s despicable that people have to worry about their children when adults don’t care to help keep them safe. People rather wait for something bad to happen thank be like OH WE SHOULD HAVE DONE BETTER! No thanks I rather find a better school.

If you want your kid to be bullied by a group of other students that will violently attack your kid! And the assistant principal will cover for the group of students that bullied your kid! So if you want that to happen then you should definitely send your child here! But I you want your kids to be happy and safe than I definitely recommend you send them somewhere else!

The school has seen bullying even fighting videos on and off school property kids are not protected here nor loved if they did they’d immediately address the bullying completely wrong our kids are the future are not safe here take your kids to a more appropriate school

To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing to formally express my deep concern regarding the ongoing bullying and harassment my daughter has endured at your school for over a month. Despite the severity of the situation and multiple reports made to the administration, there has been no meaningful intervention or resolution. As a result, her academic performance has declined significantly, and she now faces daily anxiety and fear at the prospect of attending school.

While the school appears to have a comprehensive anti-bullying policy in place—including the issuance of written safety plans for affected students—these measures have proven to be ineffective in practice. The safety plan provided to my daughter has not offered any real protection or deterrence. When bullying incidents occur, the prescribed protocols are either not enforced or fail to safeguard the well-being of the student.

This disconnect between policy and action is deeply troubling and unacceptable. It is imperative that the school not only uphold its stated commitment to student safety but also ensure that its interventions are timely, effective, and consistently applied.

I respectfully request immediate attention to this matter, including a reassessment of the current safety plan and the implementation of tangible measures to protect my daughter and hold the responsible individuals accountable.

Great school! I can't say enough great things about this school. We recently moved to Texas and are so happy to have found such a wonderful middle school. My son was really struggling at his old school. Since moving in, he has gotten straight As, is involved in a leadership program and has made some wonderful friends who share the same wholesome values. My son is self motivated to do his homework, he is excited about his class projects and loves going to school everyday. Highly recommend.

I love the school. I had to deal with an issue of bullying and Mr. Maldonado effectively took care of the issue and my 6th grader had a great year. Since 2014, the school has made a number of changes. My personal opinion, they have made great strides academically with the kids.

Those teachers that have a invested interest in their students achievements will make it a priority to reach out to the parents if they have concerns.

As a parent I would like to have the opportunity to view what my child is doing in each class. Also, if the school would use one style of communication with the parents, it would be helpful.

Since 2014 the staff has been very respectful and easy to approach. The care and concern for the students is a priority.

My son is a 6th grader at Stinston. He has had a horrible experience here. I really thought getting him into NISD would better his education but its only lowering his self esteem. I reported it to the school and still nothing has done to the bully. So I've decided to him school district s.

I think this a great school I am in all Pre-AP classes and I think the teachers are helpful in anything you ask them to help you with. I am going into my last year here at Stinson I am going to miss this place. things have changed over the years I have been here we have gotten a new and the hallways are finally two-way not one way

I can't tell you I hate this school but I can't tell you I like it there is a lot of bullying because of the way I dress I am a so called 'emo/goth' I have been called names juged and harassed my parents called the counseler and I had to go he basically told me to either deal with it or change my style like seriously I like my style I'm not going to change it because people harass me but they could of done something not only that but a lot of teachers are just plane rude and some teachers need to be talked to like some of the stuff they say should get them fired I can not wait to get out of this school hopefully high school is better

Bullying is at large in this school. The administration attempts to do what it can to curtail this problem, but overall efforts fall short. The students hear all of the mandatory dialogue about how to prevent and report bullying, but the students don't care. Many continue to harass others and are not reprimanded for their transgressions. The academics are ok, as are the electives and flex classes, but this is definitely a bullying school.

My child is beginning 6th grade, so far academically they are making my child work. My child is in accelerated subjects and we are happy with Stinson. My only complaint is the way they handled locker distribution. I will keep updating this throughout the year.

DO NOT PUT YOUR CHILD IN THIS SCHOOL. I came from scobee and was excited to have more freedom but it was the worst year of my life 2012-2013. I am a straight a student and has never gotten in trouble ever! But of course I got accused of something I DIDDNT DO. and had to get a C one 6 weeks becuase they diddnt let me catch up on my work. This school is a prison. On the outside it looks like a school but on the inside it is a holding cell for 2890 people! Now I am paying 800 dollars a month to get out of that prison!!! DON'T GO TO PRISON!!!!

horrible school! don't even dare let your kid here. One way hallways, supper mean teachers, and if you do somthing innocent you will most likely get a d-hall. I came from a school I thought had alot of students, 725 but this one has 2980!!! you are a number. I am a A+ student who is considered a "nerd" so everyone makes fun of us. some of my teachers don't even know my name. But all I know is if your popular and get straight Fs, jump people, get in fights, this is the perfect place for that. most of my friends already left even some are being homeschooled. I am planning to move next year sooooo bad!

My 12 year old daughter cannot wait to get out of this school. This is her first year here (2012-2013) and she is miserable. It is overcrowded, most teachers I've observed are rude to their students and do not appear to really care about the children. Also, too much violence for my 6th grader...lots of verbal aggression, threatening and fighting. She is a really good student who is having a hard time concentrating in class due to all the distractions. I'm not saying all the kids and teachers are bad, but it seems as if there are too little who care and teach. Looking in to charter schools otherwise going to have to go private and figure out a way to pay for it later.

Stinson is a great school! I've been there for 6th in 2008-2009 and for 7th 2009-2010. It's one of the best schools I've ever been in and trust me I've been going to a lot of schools. As lucky as I was I had to move and that was heartbreaking for me! It's like if there was something in that school that it was the reason why I didn't want to go. Anyway even though I'm a General now I will always know that I'm a SKYHAWK by heart!!GO SKYHAWKS<3

My daughter started 6th grade in 2009 and it was the worst first year in middle school she ever had to experience. This is due to the limited control of students that were displaying very inappropriate behavior and the staff's lack of involvement. Because my daughter had such a horrible experience we are now trying Private schools just to try to keep her motivated about school.
