We're very happy with PFHS. There is an incredibly large variety of classes offered and they truly have some of the very best teachers. My kids are doing great.

PFHS is an excellent school with fantastic teachers. We were pleasantly surprised with this school. The ratings had made us apprehensive, but ultimately we're very happy with our decision to move here. The faculty is dedicated to student growth. The kids that take initiative and truly want to succeed will find that the education offered here is very high quality.

My kids are doing well academically, they're learning a lot, and their school friends are all good kids from good families. The teachers that I've met all seem knowledgeable and professional. We have no complaints. This is a good school.

Great school with a large variety of class offerings. The teachers are both experienced and passionate about their craft. They seem to really be invested in the students success. My son said that he finds his classes engaging and he especially loves his calculus teacher. Overall, we are glad that our kids attend PFHS.

PFHS is an excellent highschool. Most teachers have 10+ years experience, they make learning fun for the kids, and they really put in their all to everything that they do. My daughter loves this school, and she is doing very well. We are happy that we are zoned to such an incredible school.

PFHS has exceeded our expectations. Our son has been doing well, he's being appropriately challenged academically, and he's happy. For the most part, he finds his classes interesting and his teachers engaging. We were worried that this school wouldn't be that great. His previous school in NY was rated 9/10. Turns out, we had nothing to worry about. I would go as far as to say PFHS is on par with his last school. We've really been pleasantly surprised.

So far, so good! We moved here from California and have been very impressed with the schools here. Pflugerville High has been great for our sophomore. He enjoyed his teachers this year and found them all to be very engaging. Class ratios are low, so this surely helps. The administration is great. We have been very happy that we purchased a house zoned to PFHS.

As parents, we have experienced 3 different high schools. This is what we would consider a pretty good school. Above average compared to what else is out there. There's a wide variety of courses for the kids to choose from and lots of extracurricular options. The teachers are both accessible and competent. Unfortunately, I can not say that about every school our kids have attended. I feel the quality of education is pretty good. Is it private school good? No. Compared to the other public high schools that our kids have attended over the years, this one is one of our 2 favorites. As parents, we are satisfied.

I had 3 daughters graduate from PHS. All were well prepared for college. They had a solid foundation. All 3 are college graduates.

PFHS is a good school. The teachers are mostly very experienced, very involved, and will go out of their way for the kids that work hard. As long as your child wants to succeed and does their best, they will do well here. There is not a lot of parent volunteer opportunities though and the PTA is not nearly as active as I would prefer. Overall though, my child is here for a great education and I feel he is getting just that.

Worst school district I have ever encountered. Pflugerville Middle School & Pflugerville High school have shown over the years to be discriminatory, biased, and that they truly do not care about students well being.
Drug use on campus, no repercussions~ staff is dismissive and completely rude, discourages students from trying out for sports, and very unprofessional in interactions with parents. RUN from this district as fast as you can.

Admin is a mixed bag. Some are awful and some are excellent, but the teachers are fantastic. The kids don't interact much with admin, so it isn't that big of a deal to us, just something to be aware of. It's the teachers that really matter most and this is where Pf High shines. Loads of passionate and experienced teachers, great communication and excellent student support. Most will go out of their way to help the kids. As a school with students at a variety of performance levels, our kids stand out here. They will both graduate in the top 10%. This will grant them automatic admission into UT or any other state funded TX university. This is a benefit that not everyone considers when choosing to move to top rated school districts. Top rated high schools have more competition. This equates to a lower individual class ranking for most kids.

My son is currently a senior and we are very happy with PFHS. They offer a large variety of classes for the kids to choose from and they have so many extracurriculars as well. The GT program has been beyond phenomenal. Almost all of his teachers have been excellent and while my sons homework can sometimes be a bit heavy, he is in GT and he just doesn't take easy classes, so it's expected. This school is really what you make of it. The students could skate by with simple classes and just check the boxes, or choose to challenge themselves with harder courses. If your student wants to be successful, the counselors and teachers will go out of their way to do everything they can to help the kids make it happen.

I have never had a positive experience with the office staff or administration of Pflugerville High School. They seem intentionally rude, disrespectful to students and parents, people with disabilities and need more training.

Teachers are often hampered by administrators and are rarely given the resources and support they need to be effective in the classroom.

Administrators are not helpful to parents or students, staff seems to have a very high turnover, and office staff is often untrained and unable to help or answer questions. Procedures seem intentionally difficult and staff is rude.

I graduated in 2018, and I do think *to an extent* that some teachers as well as many in the administration seem to want to enforce rules a lot more than actually care about the students. There's an administrator and a grade-level assistant principal who just monitor the hallways and it seems that all they care about is if there are phones out, earbuds out, or a dress code violation. There are also some teachers who aren't as effective as most schools do have some bad apples. HOWEVER, my experience at PHS was a good one, and I'm going to give two big props to both the student body in general and to the teachers. The AP-level teachers especially know how to do their job and can say a lot for how they have helped to mold me and other students. The student body, while every HS is going to have their fair share of bullies, shenanigans, and more, they are generally a great body. It's one of the most diverse high schools and there really are no racial cliques, everyone is pretty much one big melting pot. There are also really nice things that the students do, including raising money for breast cancer research in October, Adopt-A-Child in December, the Special Needs Prom in April/May, and so much more.

I just want it to be known to everyone out there that Pflugerville High School thinks its okay to employee a male teacher that touched my 15 year old daughter inappropriately . He was placed on leave for a month and then welcomed back without warning. The Freshman Vice Principle is worthless and is just as bad for doing nothing!! My daughter was removed from the school immediately. This is not a case of she said he said there were 3 other students that witnessed the incident!

The principal has done an outstanding job in communicating with the parents this year. I really appreciate the Remind101 daily texts, updated website and principal blog. Aside from a few teachers that don't seem to enjoy teaching, the majority of my child's teachers are very good and enthusiastic about what they teach. I have also been impressed with the Career and Advising Counselors in respect to college guidance, they have been extremely helpful and forth coming with information. However, I have been very disappointed in the band program as a whole. The entire focus and praise from the band directors are to those students that are in Wind Ensemble or Percussion.

I believe that first impressions are lasting impressions. Recently my daughter transported to Pflugerville Texas. Initially I was excited about everything I had learned about Pflugerville High. I believed she would be in a safe ,Healthy and happy environment where she could focus on her educational goals. Upon her arrival my daughter was made to feel out of place and unwelcomed by staff. My daughter came for a safe haven but on her very first day thousands of miles from her family the staff at her new school made my daughter feel out of place and unwanted. Instead of embracing my baby and educating her on the policies and procedures, they didn't welcome her they just said "you're out of uniforms' your the girl they're talking about" Not a single welcome or hello. Imagine thousands of miles away from any familiarity. they didn't and still don't know what my daughter left behind to come continue her education. What a shame that what someone looks like or the clothes they have( at no choice of there own) is more important than a persons value and potential. My daughter is brilliant and so full of life. they hurt her on top of the tragedy she just left behind.
