administrators lie about students and try to get them in trouble and the principal covers for them and perpetuates their lies. recently I went into a bathroom because I had to use the bathroom, an administrator came in as I was about to enter a stall, when I didn't exit the bathroom she got so mad she made a report on me saying I was "defiant" and therefore my bag had weapons in it and needed to be checked. it was, and nothing of note was found. I confronted her and the principal was next to her and spoke for her. later that day I told him I desired to become a teacher after highschool and he said that being teacher requires more patience. I then responded that teachers shouldn't allow students to lie about eachother to try give eachother false felonies and unfair expulsion. he then just told me to avoid that administrator. while the students are rowdy and uncouth, that doesn't mean the adults should be too. I hate this school and it's administration, they also never take to time to help students that need it, in turn making students who struggle silently even less likely to ask for help. the senior counselor also doesn't help any of the students that come to her in anyway, whether that be, scheduling, making sure credits are met or even getting in contact with a social worker. never send your kids to this school if you want a good highschool career.

MY DREAM was always to graduate from Harlandale High School but I moving to Lanier was a BLESSING. The students and teachers took me in. Lanier is not just a school.......it"s HOME! Lanier doesn't just take you in as another student, they take you in as FAMILY. Proud to be a VOK!!!!!!

Lanier doesn't get the credit it deserves. The teachers work unconditionally with students. 90% of the students work hard and strive to succeed. Their fan support is unlike anything I've seen, regardless of past successfurl or poor seasons, the community is there through thick or thin.

I've attended Highlands and even Jefferson High, however, as a senior I believe I've met some of the nicest and warm hearted people at Lanier. I am grateful God has placed me here.
