Personally with my 2 years at Corbett its not as bad as people make it. Yes there are some bad aspects but the teachers can be so nice if you do your work and not be disrespectful coaches are amazing especially coach Henry and Davis also coach B and Busch. Students can be very rude for no reason but its fine. I advise your kids do athletics and play sports have fun and dont be stupid

Ive had two children with learning disabilities attend Corbett. SCUCISD is a great district. Weve been to a few other being a military family. I dont think I would have given the full 5 star review from my sons time here, BUT this year with my youngest, the Sped team has blown me away! This has to be one of the best Sped teams Ive had the pleasure of working with.

Unacceptable program. Your child will feel alienated and admonished.

Administration says they do not condone bullying but it is rampant at this school. The culture fosters bullying.

Worst experience my child has ever had. Were still trying to recover emotionally and academically.

There is nothing academically effective at this school.

They are quick to blame your child for shortcomings instead of taking responsibility for quality education

Tell you what you want to hear but do nothing about issues. More concerned about coving up poor education and noncompliance with policies.

This school has problems with racism, and bullying. In addition, the administration and in general teachers, lack the necessary depth of concern, empathy, and basic responsibility that one would expect from educators. The school district is overrated, and considering the high tax rate, is at best an average experience.

A top rated school this facility is about 3 yrs old. The teachers work really hard with the students and make a huge effort to ensure they learn. My son had issues with math and his teacher was always available for tutoring and even had him changed to a different class with less students. He had been sick a lot the previous year and she really worked to make sure he was caught up. This year he is doing stellar and her hard work really shows. I have every confidence he is prepared for high school next year. Corbett also offers several high school courses which is allowing my son to get a step up on his hs credits. This alone will make it easier for him to graduate high school with a semester or two of dual credit college courses under his belt for free.

M daughter has attended Corbett for about 5 months, and she absolutely loves it! She has no problem getting up in the morning to go to school. She has made bonds with her teachers, because the teachers are wonderful. They individually help the students in need. The have a after-school program called Mustang Academy and it helps students with Math and Science, and my daughter attends it, and since then, her grades have improved. The teachers are very cooperative with the students, they play educational games and give away prizes. The teachers seem to make lessons very fun for the students. My daughter also says that she has great classmates. Nobody ever steals from her or bullies her. Everybody in this school is very nice, warm, and welcoming. Overall, I think this is an amazing school, and no parent should be worried about their child attending Corbett, its a great school.

Corbett is well built, but it seems to be lacking in front desk staff quality. It is very difficult & almost next to impossible to reach the school by telephone. When leaving a message for the principal on 2 separate occasions it took a week or more to return my repeated phone calls/ messages. On that note, I believe Corbett is a great school. It has amazing teachers and coaches. It also has some of the nicest facilities available. My daughter loves this school & is very happy there. Everyday I hear about how involved, uplifting, & wonderful her teachers are. My daughter adores her teachers & you can see that they have made a positive impact on her life. I am trying hard to get her into a KIPP school & she does not want to leave Corbett. The year prior she went to Laura Ingalls WIlder & hated it. Bullying & theft is a huge problem at Corbett but I know from experience that when the staff is made aware of problems or concerns they go out of their way to address issues and RESOLVE them, which has been exceptional.
