This is a terrible school and doesn’t care about students at all!! I called last year and left several messages because my daughter was being bullied only to get a call back several weeks later!! If you have a choice Steele would be a better option.

As an active duty military member PCSing to JBSA I purchased a home in this school district based on past ratings. Those no longer apply. I have a 9th and 12th grader who both attend school here. I frequently hear about how the teachers are detached and disinterested. The special education program is sub-par. Too many students to provide the extra time my child needs. I actually had a teacher tell me she has too many students to help her. They do not have the staffing to follow your child's IEP plan even though during meetings you will be told they are following the plan. My child is failing, "hates" going to school and wants to drop out. The military liaison is MIA- I may get an email from her once in awhile. Even my older senior who gets good grades says this is the worst school she has attended. The area continues to grow and I foresee these problems only getting worse - it is a very impersonal High School. The kicker is I pay over $6K in property taxes that went to this school district!

This school has large issue with violence and bullying as a whole. They sweep tons of things under the rug and also have a known drug problem on campus.

You can email teachers daily and will get no response at all. A lot of the teacher there do no care is a sad thing to see!

Some teachers are excellent, and others are not great. However, they all want to see student succeed and will offer some form of tutorials or assistance (even the not great ones).

Character traits are "sponsored" every month. Information about dating violence, substance abuse, and healthy living is easily available. Hispanic heritage month, black history month, women's history month, earth day, and Downs syndrome awareness day are just a few examples of how the school encourages diversity to be celebrated (which is, to me, one of the highest form of compassion).

There are some really string leaders, but the majority of students and staff are rather average in this respect. However, there are not really any bad ones.

In my experience, Al but a few classes teach for students who learn in a specific way (visual, auditory, etc.) and either to the lowest or highest level of competency in the class. There is no q good balance.

As long as you are in a program with a specific end goal (college credit, certificate, extra diploma, etc.) you won't have any problems. However, many on-level of aches don't care about much more than passing STAR tests. A lot of the administration led programs are obvious incentives to improve the school's rating, though many student led programs and those sponsored by interested teachers are very high quality, which promotes student participation. There are many opportunities for student involvement, but staff sometimes seems to forget that students may have obligations outside of school, such as family or work.

They have a program on which every month the focus shifts onto a good characteristic such as trustworthiness, honesty, .... Teachers and students can submit names of students who have proven to own that characteristic. These students will be homage able
Mentioned on CBN and sometimes get a free bag of cookies or other rewards.

A child takes home as much education as they want to. The offer of classes and programs is far more than most schools offer. This school has zero tolerance for bullying. Clemens has an onsite psychology that con sells students one on one and also offers group counseling. Every teacher offers tutorials. Clemens has many reward programs. The teachers and administrators go way beyond teaching. Students are made aware of the dangers of driving and drinking, texting, and also drug use. While tbere is not a drug free campus anywhere, there are fearless drugs on this campus then in most other schools around us. Clemens is still a safe campus for students to be .

I am grateful to all the teachers especially Ms Duke, Mr Thompson and Ms Johnson. Also the late Mr Cisneros who taught Spanish. I enjoyed the small school of 1,000 students back in 1987. I'm sure the kids are in much larger classes now.

School District Board, School Administrators, and others just check the block and say the right things. However, when there is a real issue with anyone on staff (teachers/counselors/etc.), they revert to us/them mentality and bury you in a maze of bureaucratic requirements. Taxes are out of this world, and check out the School Superintendant's salary, 200K+...yet students must contend with learning in hot, cramped eye-sore boxes separate from the main building. Oh and make the kids run to classes because, and for some sick reason continually impress upon parents, that the school adheres to a strict five mins between classes. Wow! Open talk of drug use among students is common, and many of the school/district policies go unenforced, for example, dress code and bullying goes ignored. Some teachers are good, but many are just riding the pension train and could care less. Many teachers post grades late, use notes and online books, forcing parents to hunt and peck their way around to find out what's going on. Teacher web pages are often not current or exist with only administrative information. Things look good on the surface, but the cities of Schertz and Cibolo have and are growing too fast for this myopic, crony, living in the past school board and administrators. The old saying goes, you can't judge a book by its cover, and on the surface things look good here. However, do your homework, look deeper and what you'll avoid the mistake of moving into this school district of Schertz/Cibolo.

My daughter graduated in 2012 and has felt very prepared for college at UT. She also received over 24 college credits at Clemens.

As someone who is about to start my senior year at this school, I can tell you a lot about it. I have gone to this school since my freshman year and I have loved every second. I've made many friends from both Schertz and from other countries from going to this school. We had 4 foreign exchange students this year! That's awesome! They have so many programs and clubs to join too. I myself have been in band all three years I've been here, and the HOSA(health occupations students of America) club. We also have AP, IB, and dual credit programs. Because of this school I will be graduating with two extra credits. We also started a radiology course for seniors this year which will allow students who take the course to take the radiology test and become certified radiology techs straight out of high school. We're only the second high school to do that in the state! We may not be the best high school in the country, but I would highly recommend this school.

If you do not have high expectations for you child during their high school years, then this is the school for you! Incompetant , unorganized teachers and administration who do not care and have told the kids to teach themselves because they do not care. The teachers cuss, let them text, eat in class and basically do whatever. Thank god my child will not be in this school next year. Good riddance!

We specifically chose this school district when moving to San Antonio an could not be happier. The school offers great education programs for the kids, Culinary, FFA, Sports programs, Computer Sciences, IB and AP programs with a large percentage of students moving onto college programs after graduation. Best decision we ever made. This included, limiting our home buying to keep our kids at Clemens. My oldest graduated in 2012, my middle will graduate this year (2014) and my daughter next year (2015). All of the faculty have our children's education and safety as priority, and the communication with teachers and staff is great. I had to fight schools in the past to get help when needed for my middle child.. It was awful. You can not wrong with the Clemens SCUCISD and our sister HS, Steele.

I completely agree with the parent that said the teachers are lazy and allow the kids to do anything. My daughter says they are allowed on their phones, drink and eat in class. I saw a video one of her friends took in class and the teacher is waving at the camera as the kids do nothing. The admin are extremely rude to parents and talk down to kids and parents. My other children went to Steele and that school is a million times better and the principal is wonderful. I sure do miss that school and the strict way it is run.

Having had two daughters graduate from Clemens I am looking forward to my son starting there this year! My oldest was able to graduate early with a Texas Scholars diploma. My younger daughter graduated with college credits under the dual credit program and started college as a SOPHOMORE and all I paid was a registration fee of $15! Saved us a bundle! The jr which feeds into this school offers high school classes really giving the kids a heads up and allowing them to pursue all the programs Clemens has to offer. You child can graduate HS with certificates as a Vet tech or pharmacy tech and be eligible to take the state certification with no other school right out of high school. They have a bunch of dual credit college classes too. The extra activities abound and every Friday night in the fall the stadium is full of students and parents enjoying the team spirit! THe band program is top rated and the camaraderie is amazing! My kids are still close with dozens of their friends from school. They were well prepared for college and the military. Parents are very welcome too!

Clemens has deff, changed since the reviews in 2005, we are still overcrowded but only in the hallways. The classes are usually 25 - 32 people in them. Also dress code and tardiness offenders are given detentions or phone calls to the parents. The administrators crack down hard on rules but love their children.
