Was pretty easy to just walk in without a I.D.
Not a good sign already. First day of enrollment and I was let in that easy. The Doors to the main hallway that lead to the students was wide open. Very poor security

My experience with Splendora High School so far has been outstanding. The teachers take the time to make sure the kids get the help they need if they are struggling. The athletics department actually abides by the no pass, no play policy. The principal is involved, excited and cares about the kids.

Students here learn real fast how to play the political system if they want to succeed or even to have a chance at success. It's all about who you know, not what you know at this school.

The main administration at Splendora ISD is a joke. It's all based on the buddy system, who you know, and what your last name is. If you didn't grow up in Splendora...well...good luck to you!

If your child has learning disabilities, or simply struggles in the classroom, do yourself a favor and find another school. This is not the school for you or your child unless you are wanting to fight with administrators every other day without making any progress. I have seen this happen to people more times that I can count. The only ones that suffer is the kids.

This school doesn't deal with bullying AT ALL! I have seen children bullied by teachers and students without anything done at all. Students are essentially left to deal with the issues themselves. Even if a parent files a grievance rarely is anything done.

Our experience at this school was awful. I must agree with what everyone else has said on here as to their experience. This school flows with people who are rude, snobby, and have their own personal political agendas. The only school that I can say is truly a great school with a great principle and teachers in this District is Pinewoods Elementary. All the others are too busy trying to please the 'political powers that be' in order to keep their jobs. If you want a school district that cares about the students, do yourself a favor and keep looking for Splendora ISD is not it.

Most of the work is done in class and homework is limited. This is very beneficial for parents who don't understand the homework enough to assist their children when complex problems arise. It also allows for family time without the stress of consistent homework.

Teachers at this school care for their students and their success, but are limited in the assistance they provide students who many need extra help due to the size of their classes. In my experience they have always been willing to offer before/after school tutoring to help those who struggle.

As a valedictorian of this high school a few years ago, I'll agree with the 1 star rating of the previous review. Although some students here rate the school well and describe it as "excellent," the fact that most of the reviews have major spelling errors reflects the poor education of the school. I agree that many of the students there were very racist, rude, and snobby. Wouldn't have described it that way myself (except for racist), but the description resonates with what I experienced there. I never realized how racist the place was until I left for college 1500 miles away and came back to find swastikas on the pavement in my neighborhood - indeed, students in Splendora will have no idea that racism still exists in the 21st century, unless they face overt racism themselves. I never realized how mean the students were until I did a high school study abroad program and discovered how nice people in study abroad programs are. Most of my graduating class cheated their way through, and I still beat their grades. Most teachers were apathetic about cheating (it happened in front of them every day) and lacking in any sense of academic rigour or depth. School Motto: "Ignorance is bliss."
