We have two sons that have been at this school since kindergarten. Our older sons went to a different school. Overall we were pleased with both but this school has exceeded our expectations. We worried initially based on the schools previous scores but after meeting with the teachers and doing tours we were confident this was the right decision. Since then the school has continued to do better and our sons have both excelled. We always make sure to tell anyone that has questions about this school about our experience.

I have always observed teachers encouraging students in their learning and trying to make it fun. The principal and assistant principal are always out helping with school dismissal; they know the students and seem very involved and connected with the teacher/student experience.

I am not aware of particular learning differences of students in my daughter's class, though my impression is that the teachers at this school do as much as they can to work with parents and students to help the students learn. We have always thought it was neat to see several students with wheelchairs at this school. While they have a classroom and staff for them, my daughter says some join in with her class for PE and music. It seems that these students are integrated as much as possible according to their learning ability and preference.

I believe that teachers are aware that this can be an issue with some students and have a plan in place to deal with repeated instances of misbehavior.

At least for kindergarten, my daughter received appropriate assignments. I liked that she didn't have homework every day, the assignments were fairly simple, and they gave her a chance to tell me about what she had been learning at school. I really liked that reading every day is encouraged.

We have loved my daughter's teachers. It is obvious that they care about their students and make sure that the students know it. That really makes for a great learning environment.

It is nice that the school focuses on various character traits throughout the year and recognizes students for exhibiting good qualities. On a daily basis, students are expected to follow basic rules to help all students feel safe and respected. Our teacher had a system in place for communicating daily behavior at school to parents.

My daughter has loved her kindergarten experience here. She has always come home happy and excited about something learned at school. This year has been unique with remote-learning for the last few months due to the coronavirus pandemic, but we have been able to follow instructions for completing assignments in the various subjects, while keeping in regular contact with the teacher. The school has been very supportive to both students and parents.

Differentiation is a must at this school. IEPS are in place and followed. The classroom is student centered. The growth of learning is empowered by data and this school has the most growth in tisd.

My daughter brought homework home in packets and was able to finish it at her own pace by a specified date. They were also small lessons that could easily be done at home.

We are absolutely love NhayeliÂ’s teacher. She is available whenever we need help. I can call her anytime of day and night and she will help us solve any problems we may have. She has been nothing but helpful and encouraging throughout the whole process.

I have a child that went to that school and another child who currently goes. I believe that both children have developed a lot of respect and character because of their school and the people in it.

Administration is fair and always available. They can be seen throughout the campus instead of in their offices.

My family had a slight issue in 16-17 school year. My son was struggling and we were in the process of getting him finally diagnosed (PC would not grant testing at first). The teacher was not patient with me even though I sent her doctors notes and kept her up-to-date on the process (6 week waiting list for testing). She approached me daily with negative comments. That teacher has since retired and I had no other problems with future teachers.

I have had 3 of my children attend this school. The office staff makes you feel welcomed and comfortable. They know the students by name and build strong relationship with them. There have been very few instances where I was not pleased and they resolved the issue in a timely matter. Most of the teachers have been awesome and go above and beyond for their students.
