Stay away! This place is a glorified daycare.

Homework varies by teacher; no two have the same approach. Last year, my daughters class was bogged down with homework given at the end of the day, no chance to do it at school. This year (5th grade) is easily the best teacher we have ever had. She teaches effectively - the kids actually have the subject knowledge to take homework home, and demonstrate their profeciency!

It is apparently very hard to get good teachers to work at this school. Turnover is higher than expected, and their pool of substitutes is small. The subs, however, tend to be retired, ecperienced teachers. 5th was taught this year by recently retired public school teacher, and she is fantastic. We were going to change schools this year, and i am glad that my daughter and i had this wonderful experience with Mrs. H.

A Christian based education, in my experience, is the best way to teach children those qualities.

The administrator is a career high school teacher, who i don't believe has the desire to learn to work with elementary age children, or the mentality of a private school parent. It is important to me that my child has a Christian based education, and i intend to be very involved. Because this school is paid for by student tuition, church offerings, and donations of tangible objects, it is understandible that funds can run thin. The administration seems unsure of how to accept or ask for needed supplies, repairs & educational materials and technology. My father offered 2 years ago to purchase ipads (which most of the schools in this archdiocese are now using) for our class of 6. Have repeated the offer, which includes upgrading the electric and wifi, with no indication that anyone higher up had been or would be asked for approval.

I have no idea how the school can or would deal with learning differences or disabilities, our classes are so small that the law of averages has played out that the kids are within workable reach of each other's abilities.

It has not been an issue with my child, at least not by the other kids. There are a few teachers that i would label bullies however. To the children and to other teachers.

It is a safe environment for most kids. Few extracuriculars, no sports or scout troops, inadequate playground equipment and unless they are exposed to it at home zero current technology. We didnt find out until spring break of 5th grade that there wouldnt be a 6th.

Small classes. Experienced teachers. Supportive families. Affordable tuition made possible by fundraising opportunities throughout the year. We have been with this school for six years and very pleased with the education experience.

Small class size allows for more to be done at school leaving very little homework.
