This school was honestly really disappointing and I am so glad I am out. You should not send your children to this school. It has gone so downhill in the last 3 years.

We have moved from a public school and couldn't be happier with the programs, people and professionalism at Antonian. Everyone has been welcoming to our student at the high school and I feel the quality of the academics, student activities and athletics is top notch. We moved to add a more religious elemet to our child's life and we feel this has also been a great piece to add to the education experience. I highly recommend this school to anyone that asks

The college prep piece of the process is lacking. Counselors do not work with the students to determine if they are applying to the schools that meet their needs academically and skill level. The push is to move the students to the high performing classes.

The administration picks winners and losers based on the income level, or click the kids are in. If extremely high achiever, but not one of the chosen favorites of the staff, you are always at a disadvantage.

Administration has self interest in mind rather the best interest of the students.

After my son has been in a very stringent top University program, he has realized how ill equipped Antonian prepared him for those type of classes. In some cases barely covering the basics needed to prepare you for high level college classes.

We had four children (1 son and 3 girls) who graduated from Antonian College Prep High School and our experience was awesome. All of my children were in the National Honor Society, in sports from football to softball, and in many other organizations. They received many awards for academics and athletics. The teachers were excellent! My children were molded into wonderful young adults and they grew academically and spiritually. My husband and I sent our children to Catholic schools all of their lives and it is wonderful to see how their Catholic faith grew over the four years that they were there. Each have continued serving God through ACTS retreats which is what they were able experience at the school years ago.. All four of them have graduated from different universities with honors and all hold excellent jobs. Antonian definitely prepared them for college!!
Antonian was a "Place called Home" when my children attended ACP and it still is for many students today. Every school has its ups and downs but Antonian was a place where things could be worked out. We are proud and blessed parents who thank Antonian for working with us in partnership in molding our children into wonderful young adults! Go Apaches!

Effectiveness is counter acted by the administration policies and actions which hamper the students and teachers.

Students are disciplined and treated differently based on social status based on wealth, what middle school they come from or athletic program they participate in.

Yes, there are things that need improvement. Yes, there is anxiety about the changes by the new administration being put in place. However, this school is 1,000,000 times better than St. Anthony CHS. Parents need to give thanks their kids are attending Antonian and are not at Saint Anthony.

Good amount of homework, not to much. Leading up to finals they lighten the homework.

I'm a 10th grader attending Antonian. There are some excellent teachers and some teachers who are extremely bad, and some teachers who are too hard to be teaching high school. Atmosphere is relatively good, though there are a lot of kids that are not motivated or bright at all. Their admission standard is low. What they didn't tell me when I applied was that you have to be selected for AP classes, you can't choose them. And options are limited.

My son was bullied for being gay here so we had to take him out. Terrible community atmosphere coupled with the terrible academics, especially the math and english departments make it a complete waste of money

As a graduate of the school myself-I went to tour the school with a mind for enrolling my children. I was disappointed to see that all the investment made since my time had been in sports. The school seems to only care about the student athletes and not the others. There was little talk about academics or other activities.

My son attended ACP for two years. We finally removed him after a series of bad or no teachers. His algebra 2 teacher could only do the problems that were listed as examples in the book. In two years he never had a real English teacher. They were either on leave or fired resulting in a constant substitutes. Honors classes are based on which parent is the loudest there isn't enough room in them for everyone who deserves to be there. He is getting a much better education and more challenging classes at our local public school.

There is a good reason that ACP is known as "A Place Called Home". The students, faculty, administration, and families all work together for an outstanding high school experience. The curriculum is rigorous (classes are all at the College Prep level or above), the spiritual element is pervasive and inspiring, and the extracurriculars are open to all. We are so happy to be a part of this wonderful school.

My 4th child will be attending Antonian this year! The faculty and staff are awesome and they are always cheerful and ready to assist in anyway possible! My children have thrived at Antonian and sending them there was the best decision we made for our family!

Antonian is a very good school and the staff is there to support the students' learning. Like any school, there are soft spots and strong spots in the faculty and curriculum. The really strong part of Antonian is the environment. Students treat each other with respect and kindness. The math department is very strong, as is the Social Studies Department. Science at the higher levels needs some beefing up and rigor put in the program. The band is a bright spot and is an excellent extracurricular. Sports are led very well by the Athletic Directors. Devlynn Lovell is the best track and cross country coach I have ever seen! The comments in previous reviews about the Principal are not correct as he is in a leadership position and sometimes has to make hard decisions that some parents don't like. He is a good leader, and has put Antonian in first place!
