I wish Sparta would make some academic changes. There are hardly any projects and reports....my daughter only did two project last year and only one with writing. Everything, and I mean everything pretty much revolves around the Texas standard tests. I've been disappointed. If you are a military family, FYI..... I would try Salado School District with smaller class sizes or Charter Oaks or Nolan Creek Charter School with smaller class sizes.

They are kind but have ton of kids to take care of since it was rezoned last year.

They reward kids with great character and have Terrific Tiger awards, etc..

Good but not willing to push too hard. Lots of movies in PE and Music class. No change.

I do agree that they work hard with children with learning difference. That is one of Sparta's strengths.

Sparta Elementary is a great school for my son. He has enjoyed all his teachers and friends. There has never been a doubt about the quality of learning he is receiving and I have been pleased at the teaching style of all of his teachers. Everyone from the front office staff to the custodians always have a smile on their face and welcome every student and parent by name. I believe Sparta is doing a great job in preparing my son for middle school.

Have been very happy with Sparta, the teachers and staff are wonderful and encourage parent envolement. Have two kids enrolled and they love their teachers.
