We have attended NBCA for 2 years and have loved it. Teachers and staff love the kiddos, they are taught accurate biblical teachings, and the smaller classroom sizes allow my children to get the attention they need to succeed.

Weve put two kids through NBCA, and NEVER regretted this decision. Public school was so concerning with curriculum being so teach to the test focused. At NBCA, kids actually learn without pressure to perform. Plus, the values and biblically based teaching is exemplary. Apologetics may be one of the most important classes the kids get. My kids have thrived at this school, and they explored lots of extra curricular activities and sports - loved all of it.

Absolutely worst mistake I ever made was to think that this was the school that my child was going to thrive in. The bullying situation is out of control. Not just name calling. But physical violence and all of it is "prayed" about and then brushed under the rug with zero consequences. And it just continues and never stops. Parents are not made aware. There is no accountability. If you want your child in therapy this is the perfect school to ruin their life. And to make sure they have a different view of Christianity when they leave.

Worst school ever. Children are bullied and belittled continuously and nothing is ever done to stop or prevent it. Not Christian like at all!!!!!

I was very excited to place my child in NBCA after bad experiences in public school. All in all its an ok school but I had some issues that I was not happy about. Its God oriented and education of the basics was very good but needs more work with the electives. Some teachers were absolutely wonderful who went above and beyond. However teacher turnover seemed to be an issue even during the school year which concerned me. Sports programs were biased and basketball was a joke. Varsity players were playing for the JV team while most JV players sat on the bench. That was very disheartening for the players that rarely got a chance to play. During graduation my child was mocked by the child of the director during her graduation speech which I nor my family did not find funny at all. Post graduation I discovered an injustice was done to my child which really changed my perspective of this school. If I would do it all over again I would have chosen a different school.

I am so grateful for this school. I have 3 kids that have attended NBCA all the way through (2 have now graduated). They have been very well prepared academically, socially, emotionally and most importantly spiritually. The community at this school has been like a second family to us.

As a parent of four students who graduated from NBCA, I am incredibly grateful for the education, care, and support my children received during their time at the school. NBCA's commitment to excellence thoroughly prepared my kids for college. In fact, they referenced their notes from Mrs. V's Calculus class during their university courses a testament to the rigor and quality of instruction.

Beyond academics, the faculty and staff showed genuine concern for my children, fostering their growth both as students and individuals. The attention to their individual needs, along with a nurturing environment, made NBCA more than just a school for us it became a second family.

The combination of high academic standards and a compassionate, supportive community makes NBCA truly exceptional. I wholeheartedly recommend the school for any family looking for a well-rounded, Christ-based education that prepares students not only for college, but for life.

Our four children have gone to NBCA as well as two exchange students. Our oldest child chose to go to New Braunfels High School for 9-12th, one child just graduated from NBCA, and we have two children that attend NBCA right now. This school is incredible due to its commitment to investing deeply into relationships with the kids and developing Christian leaders. Our experience is the high school education is far superior to the public high school. It's distinctives are 1) Commitment to a Christian education with small class sizes and a personal educational environment 2) a caring community made up of excellent staff and teachers that are committed to being great teachers and also to ministering and caring for their students 3) an incredible Christian community of parents and students 4) a school that partners with parents to raise Christian leaders. Private schools are difficult to run financially and so their is a sacrifice financially for our children to attend. But it is more than worth it! I cannot recommend NBCA to you more highly.

Our family has had a wonderful experience with our elementary-aged students at New Braunfels Christian Academy. The class sizes are small and our childrens teachers have taken the time to get to know our children intellectually, personally, and spiritually. Our childrens teachers communicate well and we as parents feel very in-the-know about the day-to-day happenings. Our childrens curiosity and love for Jesus have grown since being a part of the school, and for this we are eternally grateful. We love being a part of the NBCA school family!

NBCA has been a breath of fresh air for our family. This is our 4th year and can't suggest this school enough to friends and family. The curriculum is night and day compared to our last school. Most importantly the focus on God and our children's faith has been an answer to prayers. NBCA was our deciding factor to why we chose to move to New Braunfels.

Really shocked at the recent two reviews - this is the complete opposite of our experience and the numerous families we know at NBCA. We have three kids at NBCA that have attended for the last 12 years and another that graduated a year ago and received a full academic scholarship that we credit to the education and preparation at NBCA. No school is perfect as there are 700+ kids at the school and 200+ staff, but NBCA offers an excellent Christian education and partners with parents well in the spiritual and academic development of their children. Most of all, NBCA is a caring environment where the teachers (all certified) also love these kids and invest their life in them beyond academics or athletics. Having our kids surrounded by caring Christian role models, other great kids, and a caring community of parents has been life changing for them all. We couldn't recommend NBCA higher and you won't regret sending your kids there.

NBCA needs more facilities and is in a building campaign to build athletic facilities and a new school - which is so exciting! Over 95% of NBCA kids participate in extracurricular activities! The decision to build the athletic field first was a no brainer because all of the site development, parking, and infrastructure work that is required for the academic building would have duplicated most costs to build the athletic field second.

NBCA is a private school that is NO better academically, morally, or leadership wise than any public school in the area. The difference is they sweep issues under the rug and use scripture to hide it and portray a fake atmosphere. The school is run by administrations who need professional development in how to successfully run a school properly. The school (administration and school board) CONDEMN parents if you have concerns or disagree with them unless you donate lots of money. Students do NOT get disciplined for calling each other racist names hitting/slapping each other, recording classmates in locker rooms, making derogatory statements to each other and to Teachers, etc... There are some good qualified teachers but the majority are NOT certified and do NOT teach what their degree is in, if they even have a degree at all. The safety of students at school is good with an officer on both campuses and key cards to enter buildings. Give pause to thought regarding if you will truly get a better education at NBCA verses public school.

I just want to say thank you to a few previous reviewers for speaking up and telling the truth. It has given me the courage to speak the truth and not hide and be afraid anymore. Parent of Wildcat Distinguished Christian Leader recipient for 8th grade. Traditional secondary consecutive 6th / 12th over $100K. Classic admin /teachers & Traditional teachers/coaches/ support staff/ security 5 stars. Traditional secondary vape detectors installed. I have told Traditional admin / board that it really matters who are at NBCA. 5/23 legitimate concerns were addressed. NBCA apologizes: "No family should have to go through this". Later: " You really can't call it bullying if they were friends and there was no intent to hurt," One leader sat over an hour and did not utter a word. Fall, I was asked to IDENTIFY the family asking a question that parents were concerned about. I was asked, after what we went through this summer w/ Matt 18 you could be an advocate for the school and when you hear parents dissatisfied you can come to me, and I can go to them. After, I denied the request I was asked verbally & writing to pray about re enrollment with the school. Questions to ask during the interview. Matthew 18 policy: How is it interpreted, how enforced? How is bullying addressed? (emotional/physical) If child called racial names related to animals, foods or bullied over their physical appearance, handicap, social status etc. Will NBCA STILL ask for the victims parents to reach out to the other family? If that doesn't go well, will the admin still deny a meeting with all parents involved, unless the parents with the concerns invite the other parents for coffee? Mental Health: Admin 2023: says students coming w/ emotional issues, stressors, anxiety. Will Licensed Professional Counselors avg $62K yr. follow HIPPA, be hired for both campuses? Academics MAPPS TEST: Science not tested. Why? FYI, my son had the BEST Science teacher. Fall MAPPS scores were the same or a few points higher than national average. Jan/April: scores still NOT released to parents. Why? Other schools release the week after / invite parents to conference over results. Board term limits are they enforced, how chosen? I was told the board had 35 accountability partners and then 13. Are they connected to Board? How are they chosen? Board mins / financials are NOT shared with the parents. Why? Could parents attend at least partial board meetings like in public? If parents & DONORS do NOT bring up concerns, change will likely not occur. ACSI Accreditation can be emailed. NOTHING IN ALL CREATION IS HIDDEN FROM GODS SIGHT. EVERYTHING IS UNCOVERED AND LAID BEAR BEFORE HIM. Hebrews 4:13

Until this school hires someone who actually understands curricular and instructional development/implementation, it will remain a laughable mess, wherein students stay frustrated and teachers keep leaving. Continuity is crucial, and there is none at this school. Administrative decision making is reactive rather than proactive, policies and procedures change on a weekly basis, and a handful of teachers are provably under-qualified for their positions - unless one considers incessant packet work and daily YouTube videos quality instruction. This is not a college prep school; its not even really a Christian school, considering that a large percentage of its student body openly denounce Christianity. Add to that a faculty culture built on cliquishness and exclusion, and its clear to see why NBCA is a revolving door for good teachers as well as students. Yes, enrollment is up; however, this is deceiving. Public schools are now dangerous wastelands; at least NBCA is not dangerous.

We feel so blessed to be a part of NBCA! Our daughter started in Pre-K and loves everything school. As parents, it's comforting to know the teachers and administration truly care about the students and go above and beyond to give them the best Christian based education.

This is our family's seventh year at NBCA. We commuted 106 miles a day for a few years for them to attend NBCA. We love NBCA so much that we finally moved to New Braunfels for the sole reason that they continue their education at NBCA. The teachers at NBCA are devoted to their students and work tirelessly to educate, equip, and encourage them in faith, excellence, and service.

The homework approach and load is manageable. At the Secondary Level there is an opportunity to get a good start and or get extra help during the Enrichment Period. This period is used for study hall and a time set aside for some clubs and extra curricular activities to meet.
