I reallly loved the school and teachers. My son had a great foundation. Until his last 2 years. He was upset with his grades and his teacher. He felt she was picking on him. I just tried to see both sides and told him to be his best. Then we all went on a field trip out of state and spent a week together. I felt so bad I didn’t listen to my son. She was horrible and prejudice She said something insane and one of the other parents was like “WE WILL NOT HAVE ANY OF THAT HERE!!!!” So grateful she spoke up. We took our son out after that. He’s done so much better and is such a beautiful person. I hope the on teacher isn’t there. Now I will say everyone else was great!!!!

As a former member of the church and treasurer for the school and church, the way they treated those families and kids is sick.

This school would not send home reading books even though students are 2 years behind. The head administrator would not release them to the teachers. Church is aware of the failings of administrator but do nothing because they are "Loyal" to her.

Students are behind 2 years in reading. They are not certified. They don't know the standards to teach because they go off a workbook from Barns and Nobles. They did not show up to set their classrooms up until the night before and some didn't even finish.

It's a Christian school that treats other with disabilities wrong.
It is being taught this way by orders from the administrator and teachers.

She has no business doing what she is doing. She should be a secretary not a head administrator. She spends money she doesn't have and then can't pay rent on time. She allows the teachers to teach and do what they want when they want. Teachers don't know how to create lesson plans and she certainly does not know what is being taught or going on in the classroom. Her priority is making the place look like a school not the quality of the education.

My son recently graduated from Pine Drive after attending most of his life. In them I found solace, as he did at the school. I tried local public schools (which are a disaster) and always ended back at Pine Drive. Are there problems there, yes but they work through them in a Christian manner and not necessarily on my time table but they "get it done". The school gives back what you put into it. One of the things I have experienced more than once is my giving 5% the school had no problem stepping up and giving the other 95% If you sit at home and attempt to micro manage your child's education without being involved you get what you paid for. This holds pretty much true everywhere but Pine Drive will continue to reach out to help. If you don't stay involved, quite naturally you wont be involved.
As for the bullying issue as anywhere else it does happen. It did to my son once a few years back but it was dealt with and resolved in a Christian way. Again, not on my timetable but engineered to protect all involved. At public schools it was a daily affair because he is very thin. Some of his favorite days at PD were the days he interfaced with the grade school students and brown bag day. Kudos to you Pine Drive and God bless you all for the education you gave not only my son but me as well. Bricks and mortar do not make the school; its the care and love and a passion to work with young minds. He said we will return and speak after he attains his Doctorate. God bless to all the staff and church leaders throughout the years for an excellent job done !!

There is very little homework if student applies themselves and performs the classwork. They allow ample study hall time for all homework to be done. Except for the dreaded science project (sic) which has to be done at home.

Another great year at Pine Drive Christian School! My family and I are very happy with this school. Our child is receiving a quality education in a Christian and caring atmosphere. The school director, teachers, and staff are wonderful. Pine Drive Christian School participates in the ACSI's annual Math Olympics, Science Fair, Speech competition, and Spelling Bee which gives the students the opportunity to compete academically with students from other Christian schools. Pine Drive Christian School also has annual events, monthly family dinners, and field trips through out the school year. Annual trips are planned for the 5th to 12th graders (Washington, DC in 2013, New York City in 2014, and Philadelphia this year). We highly recommend Pine Drive Christian School!

I've been going to Pine Drive since I was 4. It's the only school I've ever know, I don't want to leave but my parents said that if there isn't enough students I'll have to go. :( I'm going into the 7th grade and I have a year to save my school. I have talked with my principal and I'm going to talk to the pastor of the church. Please don't make me leave my school. ENROLL NOW!!!!!!

WE HAVE BEEN WITH P D SINCE MY SON WAS 4, HE IS NOW 9.I MUST SAY THAT WAS THE BEST DECISION MY HUSBAND AND I MADE FOR OUR SON'S EDUCATION. THE TEACHERS ARE REAL LOVING TEACHERS, NOT JUST DOING THEIR JOB, THEY ARE GENUINE. DESPITE ALL THAT HAS HAPPENED, WE KNOW THAT GOD WORKS OUT EVERYTHING FOR HIS GOOD,AND I MUST SAY I WORK IN PUBLIC EDUCATION, AND BY NO MEANS WILL I BRING MY SON TO PUBLIC SCHOOL. WE HAVE FAITH, AND YOU IT !! WILL HAPPEN!

The students like it for the lax dress code and relaxed atmosphere and the fact there is very little homework. The standards are not very high, as would be expected at a Christian school. There is little or no communication between parents, faculty and administration. They use an online site for grades, but it is not used effectively. At this time, the school is going through yet another crisis with administration and leadership. My advice: Look elsewhere

If you want a school where your child will learn, grow, prosper, succeed, and where he/she will be loved, then Pine Drive is your ideal school. As a parent, if you want your child to be happy and receive a Christian education from a smiling, loving teacher, then you have found your school. In my experience, 100% of the population won't be pleased 100% of the time, but sometimes it seems people just choose to be unhappy. Keep that in mind. Give Pine Drive a try! You WILL like it, and your children will LOVE it.
