If I could give this place zero stars I would unfortunately one star is the less I can give. Both my kids were withdrawn from this school because they are the worst public school to attend. My daughter was the first to get withdrawn and it was because she was bullied and then one of the bullies decided to touch her inappropriately. When I filed a complaint about it all they did was talk to the student nothing else. My son was just withdrawn today because they decided because him and a friend fought they will have a so called investigation on my son. So this school wont tolerate two kids having a tiff but its ok to have a boy touch a girl inappropriately and all he gets is a talking too. Seriously this school is the worst and the one who does the supposedly investigating she really thinks shes making a difference well you did but in a very negative way.

I was a student for one year and it was horrible. The food is very unhealthy and just disgusting. The teachers didnt care about your mental health or your education! Also the students there are terrible and there was a fight like every day. Also the bathrooms are very disgusting and only had like one soap and kids kept vaping and doing disgusting things in there. I really dont recommend this school!! My mental health just went down hill because of this school. Also when they try and sell stuff for an example yearbooks they are overpriced.

I spent most of my time in school going to the southwest side district, I do not recommend this district. Multiple times I went to the counselor, my problems were brushed off and ignored; They went as far one time as checking my wrists. Even after doing so, they had not let my guardian know theyd done such, or had suspicion I was doing anything harmful to myself. The way students were punished as well, I believe is a huge problem. The teachers were terrified of students, even in the classroom we were not safe. Students would throw desks and chairs, and not much was ever done of it. There was also multiple fights, which caused students issues going to and from certain classes; despite the fights, students were not given extra time to get to each class. Even when a serious injury had occurred, instead of telling each student to stay in class so they could handle it, passing period came, and they let tons of students pass by, and then got mad when students were concerned. Multiple times had I faced discrimination from other students, in front of teachers, and nothing was done or said about it. I had a student tell me to take my own life, and he was simply removed from the bus. Even some teacher would take a step in a bully students. Kids would do drugs, set off fireworks, stink bombs, and so much more. During fire drills, we were told to leave our bags in class; this time however, a student had set off a firework in the bathroom, which set off the alarm. Unaware of weather it was a drill or not, my brother and I left our bags in class. Once we realized it wasnt a drill, we have to go to the other side of the school to get our bags, because it was the end of the day. Our teacher belittled us and made fun of us for doing so. After my ankle gave out on me while I was walking in the gym, my teacher blamed it on the shoes. My family never had much income so it was all I could afford. Staff would go out of their way to take students phones, even when not in class, or texting a parent, as well as charging a fee for taking it. If girls wore jeans with rips to high, they would put black tape over the entire hole. Guys were allowed to run around without shirts on while outside, though if the girls were in tank tops they had to cover up, even if it was a hot day. Some teachers would just put on movies, and nothing else. Some teachers would spend 30 minutes yelling at you for not working, as well as getting mad that youre working instead of listening to them.

Coaches are rude and encourage student to perform unsportman like conduct. The students are good until they join the athletics program. I wish I could say better but administration is key to a school.
