My family has had a wonderful experience going here. My children are all thrilled to devour every bit of learning they can, are excited to go to school every day and are surrounded by wonderful, caring teachers whom I completely trust with my three babies. My kids are challenged at their level and have excelled. Also, being a smaller school district, the schools have a lot more flexibility into their approach for teaching and various opportunities available. I have nothing by the highest compliments for Lytle Primary!!!

After a long day at school, kids need minimal homework and need time to give their mind and body and break! This school encourages 20 minutes of reading and a few math problems a day.

I've had three children go through this school and all teachers have been encouraging, patient and respectful to my children. My children are all thrilled about learning because of the wonderful teachers in the school.

The kids go to a "character class" once a week and much emphasis is put on developing "the 7 habits" (Stephen Covey).

As a 1st grader my son has nightly reading, a list of sight words to go over and usually 5 math problems to solve. They are easy to get finished, it gets them use to after school work, but it's not so much that he gets tired or upset.

They do character building projects. Every week my son has a sheet of homework explains which character habit they are working on.

There are so many reasons we love the Primary School, a few are... First, my sons teacher is amazing and he loves going to school everyday, no fight about not wanting to go. They teach in a fun way that gets the kids learning to think outside the box, and getting young kids to love to learn is so crucial at their young age. My son is young for his grade, but he is excelling and reading on a very high level. I feel so confident in knowing he will do well academically in elementary because his teacher has prepared them, and pushed them to do more as a class and individually. They also don't require an excessive amount of take home work, which I feel is a good thing for these little ones, who can get burned out quickly. My husband and I are so happy with Lytle Primary!

The school culture promotes honesty, integrity and fairness amongst the students. Encouragement and positive support two main components that are easily recognized within the school.

This is an excellent school with dedicated teachers and staff. The curriculum, technology and learning experiences are beyond measure.

My children are doing well in school at the primary. I'm surprised with how much they have learned. I really like the school and the teachers.

I didn't hear great things about the schools here when I moved in, but my daughter reads higher than she has to in Kindergarten, and she loves going to school!

We have been so happy with our child's teacher. Talking to other parents, it's the general consensus that they all love their kid's teachers at the Primary.

We like the daily sight word practice and math practice. Reading nightly is also important and a priority to the teachers.

Lytle families do not know how lucky they are! Coming from NISD Lytle is so far ahead of the game! The opportunities far out weigh those in bigger schools. I love how teachers are constantly trying new things and keep our kids challenged and engaged. Facebook has really opened our eyes to just what is going on in the classroom! We love what we see!

An absolutely wonderful school that never ceases to amaze me with the staffs creativity, effectiveness and dedication to the education of my children. What's even more surprising is they are able to do this in spite of all the limitations and counter productive policies handed down from state. It's truly astonishing how they are able to accomplish so much and how effective they are in carrying out the mission of educating our children.

Amazing school with amazing teachers! I completely disagree with the previous post. As a mother of GT students the Primary has done an awesome job pushing my kids and giving them exactly what they need! Highly recommended this school!

Teachers do a great job meeting the needs if each child. Parents are always welcome and utilized to help assist students!

I do love my son's primary teacher, but I do feel however that he is scolded for being more advanced than the other children in his classroom. In my how we have always instilled in him that being smart is nothing to be ashamed of, nor is asking for help when its needed but I constantly feel as though I'm receiving complaints that he is too far ahead. so rather than accommodating and challenging him they expect him to stay quite I do not agree... I am now considering a transfer.
