We have had the best Teachers for Kindergarten and First grade. Couldn't be happier with the support and communication from our teachers and the amount of growth my student has had while there.

I have had 2 children attend the primary school and cant say enough good things about the teachers. They have made my children love school. The communication has always been top notch. We are not originally from here and have been to other schools. La Vernia has had one of the best school communities we have experienced and love being apart of the bears.

Why is an administrator that is so rude to students and parents still in place? I have never heard so much from my kids about being ignored by a principal. My older kids have never had a complaint. Rude, ignoring kids and always walking around with a look when I have been there. Lord help the teachers, I can only imagine how they must be treated.

Faculty gets leadership from administration and it is horrible. Nobody will follow through with anything they are told or asked.

For 3 years, we asked for help with our child. ADHD, supposed to have extra help, but when aske about it, the school never enrolled or followed through with it.

It's hard for the teachers to deal with bullying when it is the teachers, aids, and other faculty doing the bullying. Especially when it is done in front of or too the children.

Extremely horrible. We sold our house and moved into the school district because it was supposed to be exceptional, instead we and our child were bullied, belittle, and threatened by staff and administration. Very, very rude and unprofessional and uncalled for.

They need training on how to teach students with ADD or ADHD, all they know how to do is push them until they shut down and get them out of their class

It's hard to build the right kind of character when elementary students are bullied by the faculty and aids, most of them anyway.

My daughter attended La Vernia Primary for three months in kindergarten 2014. I know it's not long but she came home excited about what she learned and couldn't wait to go back each and everyday. On Fridays she was sad that she was off for two days! The information she brought home, in a short period of time and with joy, couldn't make a mother happier. The Principle was wonderful and involved, not with just the kids but staff and parents too.
Unfortunately we had to move out of state and I haven't seen her enjoy or even like school since.... She learned more in those three months than she did at the end of the school year. Searching for a school like La Vernia Primary! Great school and highly recommend!

There are pockets of good teachers but the overall school needs lots of changes. The school is not student centered. The principal and school are more concerned with covering their tracks and not exposing themselves instead of making necessary changes that need to happen. Communication is weak and the same principal letter comes out every nine weeks.

The teachers here are great however the principal and assistant principal NEED to go. The principal does NOT care about your childs safety, in the 4 yrs my kids have gone there she has refused several times to upgrade the security measures at this school. Be leary when sending your kids here.
