Amazing! We are moving to another state and are looking for schools comparable or better than Royal Ridge. Our special needs, autistic child has had an amazing experience at Royal Ridge from kinder through 2nd grade. The teachers, guidance counselor, principal/asst principal, librarian, specials, family engagement specialist.. everyone from the 2020-2024 timeframe for sure were great. Diverse. Friendly, informative with parents consistently, active social media page, and understanding of children with special needs.
The earlier reviews.. there is a new principal at the school so those do not apply to him at all. Hes been great!
Highly recommend this school.

We love this school. The new principal has done amazing job since taking over last year. The staff at the school as always helpful and friendly. So far this year, you can tell security has been a major focus, which in this day in age is very important.
When my son first started in Kindergarten, he was one of the lower performing students. He is now in the 3rd grade and one of the top students in his class for the past few years. The learning part is not only on the teachers but also at home. A school can only do so much when you have 15-20 kids per classroom. We have loved every teacher my son has had over the past 3 years. I would defiantly recommend this school.

They focus more on proving the teachers scores than any students, everything is teacher biased
Posted: July 13, 2016
Its too bad to explain, thry care more for the personal day they are having, not to mention the constant grade switching for each teacher, one teacher has literally taught each grade and every year its a new grade
Posted: July 13, 2016
Homework is the main source of learning, not to mention they do not send home any explainations of how to practice new steps taught at school, so if your student doesnt know how to do the work, they are out of luck because teachers wont repeat it to them! Everything is about socializing

I absolutely HATE this school! The principal is a control freak, doesnt address any parent concerns or situations with the kids, the counselor does, very biased to popular kids and parents, staff is completely biased as well, any problems are directed as your childs fault. No club, no holiday events, PTA has the same pathetic events and its totally unorganized, school constantly wants money for everything, only certain grades are celebrated while others watch, and jus a horrible education for my children, we have been here going on 4yrs and Im so desperate to switch them, and I have witnessed them be completely disrespectful towards spanish families and those who receive government assistance! Turn away from this school

I hate this school! The principal is beyond rude and irritating! 9/10ths of the faculty at this school are completely incapable! I would love to switch schools, I'm definitely going to do everything in my power to get out of this district before school starts up after the summer!

My children attended Royal Ridge for two years before we moved out of state, and they still talk about Royal Ridge. The school is everything you want in an elementary school. The staff is warm and friendly and genuinely cares about the kids. I never had any doubts about the safety of my children or the education they were receiving. I would recommend this school to anyone moving to the San Antonio area.
