Bob Lewis Elementary is like no other. The way the staff truly gets to know students, families, and the community is everything you could hope for as a parent. My children are always excited about getting up and going to school and I understand why. They have great learning going on in the classrooms and the school also offers a variety of after school clubs and activities. They are great about community involvement and they have fun filled programs like Trunk or Treat, Talent Show, Academic Night, STEM Night, PTA Meetings, Awards Assemblies, and so much more. I don't worry about dropping my children off because I know they are going to a school where they are safe, loved, and taken care of.

They get one sheet of homework for the week. They start the day off with recess. Kids using racial slurs and not enough vocabulary words. Military families do your research, get outside curriculum because your kids won't learn much and will be behind if you transfer to a different school system.

This one Im alittle disappointed on. My daughter (who has a difficult learning disability) has been bullied by 1 other student in her class. Unfortunately, it was sadley dismissed when brought to Teachers attention.

Bob Lewis Elementary is ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL in every aspect.

Routine homework assignments & expectations that remain the same throughout the year --i.e. Reading daily, Math Studies playing games that use Adding, Subtracting, Multiplying or Dividing; --i.e. Multiplication Wars, Flash Cards, Beat the Clock -Division/Multiplication etc... really does make a difference.

They are effective because they ACTUALLY care.

I expected more from this school. Kinder kids have nap time! there is so much to learn and yet they have to sleep during school hours! The last time my child took a nap he was a toddler. My 1st grader came home saying he watched T.V sometimes. My first grader seemed to be doing kinder work while my kinder kid seemed to be in day care! We came from a different state (military fam) from another public school, and the difference in curriculum is drastic. We actually moved to this neighborhood because of the great-schools ratings and was so disappointed on how their first year turned out when it came to their curriculum... On a positive note, the principal is nice and the school is clean. They got straight E's on their report cards, but sincerely, they are behind in some subjects and now i will have to work with them this summer. The kids do like the school and the number 1 reason why, "it's so easy!" as they would say.
