Several cases of bullying at this school during our time there and they were not addressed by administration. Teachers were having to try to do the best they could with difficult situations.

My daughter attended this school 2013-2015 for her Kindergarten and 1st grade years. Her teachers were through the roof amazing. Always above and beyond to ensure she was challenged at her academic level and not just that of the standard class level. Both teachers were extremely communicative as well. The administrative staff were not friendly. The front office staff were off-standish and rude. The principal at the time was not effective. She had a serious bullying issue, but it was not addressed. One of the children most notorious for bullying at the school was a teacher's child and because of this, the child was allowed to continue to harm others and was not removed from the classroom or school. Very scary situation.
But again, the teachers in general were what made this school great. PTA is also very active.

It is obvious the administrators at Nichols Elementary work to hire excellent teachers and staff. They set high goals for the students each year. I wish they would introduce more science in the early grades.
