Honestly, Walsh is a pretty good school that an insanely good fine arts program and excels in general with studies. However, the reason I am giving it a 4-star is because of the serious bullying problem.

As a former student here, I loved this school. Some of the teachers kinda sucked, but most of them were wonderful. Walsh is where I made so many memories and friends. I'm so glad I went here. Teachers are always willing to help and are very nice, and most students are roo. Overall, Walsh just has a great feel and when you walk in its not so much of a chore to get up everyday. If you are considering sending your kid here, do it they will love it.

They give way too much homework, and the teachers are teaching a grade behind, my child is learning the same things he learned last year, and making no progress, and the kids are very bad, and there's way too many kids doing drugs all over the place and not getting caught. I would not suggest going to this school , in fact avoid this school at all costs. Beware! You have been warned.

This is a great school. I go here and am in 7th grade. Most teachers are really nice. We do not get that much home work it 7th grade. There is no bullying so far that I have seen. Although we do need more respectful kids at this school because some kids are buttholes to teachers. But this is an awesome school. It is also very nice. I would give it 4.5 stars but you can't so I did 4 stars.

My son is currently in his second year at Walsh and I couldn't be happier. He is challenged, but doing well thanks to the dedication of his teachers who give every opportunity to do well and seek help if needed. I love the fact that the majority of the communication and grading is done online. It allows me to keep track of my son's grades in real time. It also allows teachers and parents to communicate on our own time through email. I especially love how the kids are encouraged to take responsibility for their grades by contacting the teacher on their own to improve grades or make up missed work. My son has blossomed from a shy little boy into a confident young man thanks in part to the wonderful staff at Walsh.

The academics at the school are typical - teachers and staff are mostly good and there are a few truly great teachers there... However, many of the kids and parents call the shots at the school -completely based on politics. Drugs, alcohol and bullying are absolutely present and alive there... though the admin. puts on a total facade of "no tolerance". The principal was no-where to be found and the vice-principal (who is no longer there) handled a situation we personally had, very poorly. Our experience was among many other similar ones I've heard about throughout the last few years.

This is my third year at Walsh, and I just wanted to say how great it is. The staff is absolutely amazing! All the teachers and administrators are always super kind towards me and my peers, treat us with respect, and try to help us become better people. The students are a great group of kids, all with talent just pouring out of them. Sure, there are conflicts, but I know from personal experience that the students are willing to overcome differences if it means keeping a friend. The academic program is outstanding. When I moved to Round Rock, I was baffled by how rigorous the standards were compared to my former school district. Sometimes it's a challenge, but I wouldn't want it any other way. Lastly, the extra curricular activities. The elective programs at Walsh are beyond amazing. I've been a part of the Walsh Band and Walsh Art program all three years, and I was a part of the athletics program in my 7th grade year. Those programs helped shape who I am, and promote so many positive character traits. The assortment of electives is great too! I absolutely love Walsh, and wouldn't wanna go anywhere else.

Most of the teachers are excellent! I think the principal and vice principals are fantastic. The academic programs are great. There is some bullying there against certain personality types, my oldest child had no issues, my second had quite a few during the 6th grade year. I recently moved out of state to a school ranked 9/10. I honestly like it better because the students are so much more kind and polite. However, I really miss the teachers at Walsh, they are top notch

So far I am not impressed. Our family is relocating to Round Rock, and specifically chose an area to build a house so that our daughter could attend Walsh. I have put in 2 very detailed phone calls to the counselor to ask questions, and have also emailed the Principal of the school yet have not gotten a call back. Not even a quick "I'll get back to you" email. If this is how the parent/school communication works then I might have to reconsider my contract to build a home in this area. It's ridiculous when administrators can't even return a simple phone call! If I don't get a phone call soon, I plan to go to the district about this. Not that they probably will care either.. attitude always reflects leadership. I am SUPREMELY disappointed!
