My experience at this school isn’t horrible nor a dream, some people are nice and welcoming others not so much, many opportunities can come from this school like clubs, theatre, dance , band, orchestra, choir, Spanish, sports, career and college, general employment, etc. Fights tend to happen quite frequently but that’s how all schools are ever since this new principal people don’t physically fight as much, fewer skip and be late. Staff are usually fun and friendly but still serious at times, teachers are usually caring and supportive helping students pass and excel but, there is a chance that your student(s) will get a teacher who barely teaches as I noticed there’s one for every subject per grade . Overall this school is great I think my favorite staff/teachers would be Ms.drown for always helping me out and leading me to the answer and asking if I’m okay , and the librarian who is very kind and fun loving and shows how much she loves her jobs she’s always asking about my weekend and asking about my dad and if I have work to do and making sure I eat. Just beware not everyone’s experience is the same as mine but maybe yours or you Student(s) will be different.

I didn’t feel like they supported my child. I’ve felt that they were discriminating him.
Teachers beat, buffalo to kids and then make up stories about your kids
So they have attitudes with the students. I don’t find that very fair.

With the influx of people moving to the area, the school is not prepared to handle children with individualized education plans. They absolutely did not enforce the plan and one of the reasons was due to short staffing. They are also short on school bus drivers so my son had to wait at school longer for the 2nd round of buses to pick him up. Leaving the area was the best decision when it comes to education.

16:1 is a lie. I had 35 students in pre-AP classes. Bad memories of my 10+ years there. No recognition for teachers that served years.

The teachers were always nice, but spent more time yelling at students than removing them from class. The teacher/student ratio displayed on this website is incorrect as well. It's more like 25-30 students per teacher, and that's average. Some teachers don't even have enough chairs for all 36 of their students. This entire school district's education has gone down the drain and they recently built a multi-million dollar football stadium. If this doesn't show where their priority lies, I don't know what will.

They do not issue homework, because the kids will not do it. Simple.

Posted: February 9, 2020

There are some good teachers, but they are burnt out. Even new teachers get burnt out quickly. There is more "baby-sitting" that goes on at this school than education.

The leadership focus' on the positives too much rather than correcting the negatives with it.

Posted: February 9, 2020

The school does a good job with conforming to its ARD requirements, but takes shortcuts when they can.

Most of the bullying is swept under the rug.

This school is heavily 1st generation Hispanic-American. The large majority of the parents are able to survive without a formal education and it shows in the children's attitudes. There is constant disrespect towards staff.

This year the school took electives away from the kids which are foreign language, health, & others. Now the kids have to take electives twice, what kind of education is this? having to take classes for fun over & over & over again HOW BORING can that be. Don't have enough electives that's such a shame towards this school. Their precious stadium that cost 9million was more important than the kids having more electives and learning something new in their lives. I didn't want to even give the school a star because in my book They Don't Deserve It.
