I am sad to write a review such as this, but it needs to be said. I am highly disappointed in this school, my student that goes here is half Korean and half White. It is sad the discrimination that he has faced at this school and the lack of responsibility taken by the school. Multiple times students have called him a dog-eater, a ching-chong, and other discriminatory terms. After facing this inappropriate behavior, he did as any student would have done- reported it to his teacher. Any student should feel as if they can go to their teacher if they have any issues and not be dismissed. But unfortunately, this was not the case. After the teacher was informed, she didn't do anything on her part, she didn't report it to the counselor or any of the administrative staff. The kids faced no consequences for their actions and therefore, the harassment continued. And even despite reporting it multiple times to his teacher, she still did nothing. It got to the point where he felt as if he had no other option but to take care of it himself, while we do not condone him pushing the bully down to the ground, we feel as if this could've been avoided if the teacher had done her part. He also is supposed to receive accommodations on his assessments, but on his STAAR test, he received NONE of his accommodations. We have already reported both of these instances to the school, but I am still highly disappointed in this school.

This is by far the WORST school my son has been to in Conroe isd !! The rudest front office people ! The principals dont care about anything and the SDC teacher allows bullying and laughs about it ! Second week of school and my son was put on the wrong school bus and no one seemed to care ! Ive had so many issues and its only the first week of school !

I am extremely concerned as a parent of a student at Dolly Vogel Elementary. My child has faced persistent bullying, including racial targeting, and was recently suspended without any written notice, just a phone call. The lack of proper communication and accountability makes my child feel invisible and unsafe, which is unacceptable for any student, especially those with disabilities.
I urge the school to take bullying seriously, follow proper procedures, and provide a safe, inclusive environment for all children. Families deserve transparency and protection, every child matters!!!

I would not your to this school the teachers are extremely delusional and gave my daughter lunch detention for talking, also they cared very little about her mental health, also their school had got a bomb threat and they did not take it seriously my child was even scared to go to school. I do not recommend this school to anyone and their child.

This was the worst school. You call the school and they NEVER answer the phone. Teachers dont return emails. Teachers dont communicate with parents. Seriously glad we only had two years here and she is done! Administration really needs to take a look at what is going on in this school, starting at the principal all the way down to the teachers.

My son never had a behavioral complaint at school until he entered Vogel this year. He had 3 days of lunch detention for "being too loud on the bus" and then a day of in school suspension for disagreeing with a teacher about whether he was out in dodgeball in PE class. I was informed by the assistant principal that was not rude or disrespectful. The assistant principal refused to allow him to have before and/or after school detention and I refuse to allow him to be pulled from an entire day of classes when the sole purpose for the existence of a school is to educate. Many of the teachers are new and appear to be very inexperienced. I pulled my son and am homeschooling him because of my experience with Vogel. The school did not follow his 504 accommodations for dyslexia even though we had multiple meetings with the teachers for them to determine his need for accommodations.

Pathetic school with bullies for teachers and a worthless principal. This school is the reason I'm homeschooling my son this year. My son has never had any problems with any school. He was on honor roll every semester. One or two nasty teachers can ruin an entire school year. I have heard bad stuff about this school from others but my sweet son with honor roll grades and excellence in behavior I thought would breeze through. Not so here. They nitpick every little thing that they can.

Vogel is a school where the teachers are very easy to get alone with they are team players which makes communication easy so you will always know what is going on with your child. Vogel is also a school that offer great service for your child if they should need help in different areas, I really think that this school is a very good one.

What should have been a great experience for my son in our new school district was a nightmare. The registrar was very condescending and turned her nose up at us when she realized we lived in apartments. As if we weren't good enough for Vogel because we are not rich like a lot of the other residents in The Woodlands. The Principal and Assistant Principal seemed uncaring when I held a conference with them, regarding my son having been bullied and picked on in previous school districts. In communicating with the principal herself through e-mail and in person about things that should have been very easy to go over, she just seemed very clueless and poorly educated. I feel sorry for anyone who may have to deal with the people working at this school. They have some serious issues there with the staff.
