I remember going to this school years ago. Surprised I can remember now. I was a very popular kid a lot of people liked me regardless of gender. Good memories! Although the school itself and includes staff wasn’t so great but great classmates. I can recommended if from what I remember! :)

Bullying was very less likely back then

Staff weren’t so great I remembered

Clubs were epic!! :D

Nice school go check it out.

I don't remember much from 6th or 7th grade but every single one of my teachers in 8th grade was great. My grades in all my classes shot up much higher than they were in previous years. However, the vice principle at the time was unreasonably strict and universally hated by all students. She semmed to care more about the rules than any of the students. She once came into a classroom simply to make sure the shorts a girl was wearing weren't in violation of the dresscode, distracting everyone from learning. I also was highly discrminated against due to the fact I was transgender and not only refused access from the boys bathroom, but threatened with ISS if I used it anyways. The only bathroom I was allowed to use was unreasonably far from all of my classes and they were not willing to make any reasonable accommodations for me, therefore I was often late to my classes. I would only recommend this school to anyone who isn't transgender or disabled since the admin clearly care more about politics and rules than their own students. Amazing teachers, clubs, and after school activities; Bad administrators, disciplinitory actions, and attention to important issues.

Bullying is rampant and the administration does not do enough to stop it.

Absolutely terrible. The administration doesn’t have it together. Some of the teachers don’t care to help the child learn or grow. Lack of communication

School is fine unless your child has a disability in which case they will not get fair and equal treatment. Ieps are poorly written and not followed. Reviews and Evans are not done when appropriate and the ard committees get hostile if you try to advocate for your child. Admin staff is more concerned with politics and saving face than taking care of the needs of children. If your child is "normal no problem. If your child requires more, avoid this school or at least get an advocate.

This school is disorganized, orientation is the worse! Smells old and musty. The majority of the staff don't know if they're coming or going. The data processor (Cynthia V.) is less than friendly or knowledgeable. I don't imagine this school ever being a Lighthouse School.

As a student at Tejeda for 2 years I loved it! It was an amazing time/experience... I have moved to a different area and the school is no where compared to the great service, academics, and extra cuticular. I believe Tejeda is one of the best schools ever!

As a former student, I have mixed feelings about this school. I was bullied pretty bad at Tejeda, but this was before the whole bullying movement began. The teachers were either highly incompetent or fantastic. Unfortunately, too many were incompetent. Some even bullied students (including myself) sometimes. The administrative staff was slightly irritating as well. That being said, Tejeda gave me some good memories too. The arts department was great, as was the history and English. Those are where the best teachers were. There were also many clubs to join, and school spirit was high. Perhaps things have changed since I was there, but as for me, I give it a weak three stars.

Tejeda has a very engaged and personable faculty! For a large school, I think those are difficult traits to cultivate. Good job! The students all seem to be enthusiastic, motivated, friendly, and really well behaved. Mrs. Fishman has a great orchestra program at Tejeda!
