Overall this school is pretty good considering its a middle school. I mean, all the advanced classes are light work, and the advanced teachers are actually all pretty good. The only problem are the teachers who favorite the students who are the most popular and don't pay much attention to the other kids. Some teachers favor girls over boys. The bathrooms are very clean, and really good, at least compared to Leander High school, where none of the sinks work, it does not smell good; it stinks, the flushing doesn't work, the doors are broken, and people do weird stuff. In Running Brushy, they have those smell stopping things so the smell goes away if someone does number 1 or number 2. Thank you, janitors. Even when someone threw a whole boulder into the sink, and when someone stole the whole bathroom sign, and even when someone broke the whole door and threw some stuff adult use in the bathroom floor, and when someone broke 3 bottles of cologne, and when someone took number 2 on the floor near the toilet stall, and even one time where all of the boys bathrooms were closed for an hour or two, except the personal and teacher bathrooms, the janitors still cleaned that up. Kudos! The water is clean, and some teachers are very nice, depending on which you get. The gyms are nice, but some of the coaches favorite kids. The outdoor basketball hoops don't even have nets, and after lunch you go outside for about 10-15 minutes. I don't really know what the point of that is, just to stand outside in the blazing hot or the blistering cold, but you have to do it. In lunch, you have to get a pass, and there is a thing called "tutorials", where a teacher is supposed to help the student understand and finish the work they missed, but they don't do that. They make the student do it by themselves. While that is acceptable, the students, while eating their lunch, play games or cheat while the teachers eat their lunch. Sometimes there is about 30 kids in a classroom during "tutorials" in lunch, where it's a basically a party. This is so unfair to the people who actually need help! And when they do "tutorials" during lunch, with those parties or whatever, they play games or just talk. A time, where a teacher actually got fired because the teach taped someone to their chair, and we had a substitute the rest of the month or two (It was April.) The substitutes are very bad, except for a few goated ones. A lot just explain the assignments and sit on their phones. An easy job. 3 star.

My sixth grader feels very well supported , safe and is appreciative of the teachers at RBMS.The school is very communicative and the teachers do go above and beyond to help out students both socially and academically.

My son is a 6th grader and has thoroughly enjoyed school. He really has come out of his shell in middle school and that is a testament to the environment the school, teachers, counselors have created so kids can thrive.

We live in Travisso and our 6th grader loves going to school and is thriving in RBMS. Amazing and supportive staff who genuinely care for their students. Plenty of after-school clubs like Speech&Debate, Science club etc. Free after school tutoring if needed. Amazing QUEST, Athletics and Band programs.

The leadership at RBMS is above average! The majority of the staff and teachers care for their students. They encourage parent involvement and help students learn to be accountable to their work. They really help the 6th graders transition in from elementary and prepare the 8th graders for the high school experience. There is lots of independent learning. Sports are awesome!

All all levels the teachers and especially the 8th grade Counselor encouraged our daughter & helped her in every way to bring out the best in her & make her enjoy school.

Principal Jim Rose took the time to show us a tour of the school when we moved here. Later when there was a problem Principal Rose met with us when we requested & he quickly solved all of our concerns with ideal solutions to the problem.

This is the school to go if your child is struggling. Our daughter needed special help, but her other school ignored it. Everyone at every level at Running Brushy helped identify the problem & work to accommodate her to make learning so much better for her,

Perfect score - Principal Jim Rose is kind, supportive & exceptional in handling problems. All of the teachers my daughter has had for the last 2 years as well as everyone at every level of the staff have been amazing, helpful & kind. Highly recommend Running Brushy Middle School!

The teachers at this school are okay.I know because im a student,and your child will probably encounter a teacher that justs does not care and will just show up not to teach,but for a paycheck. But the main problem with this school is the assistant principal.She does not care about complaints from students,I had a teacher who was sexist and who treated ppl unfairly.And when people complained about it to the assistant principal she does nothing. And if you want to go to a school thats bully free,then dont pick this one. Their was this one kid that slapped two girls and got away with it. Then when me and my freinds got involved and started confronting him the kid ran away and told the assistant principal.She got mad at use but when we told her that he slapped two girls she just ignored it. And she always pushes this were a happy community thing and that ''were all a happy family'' but kids are getting bullied and she does nothing about it.Kids cant even go to the bathroom cause she always keeps everyone locked and they stay locked.The 5 star ones are just biased because its from teachers.Dont send your child to this school

Bullying is an issue in this school. Multiple times I had to go to the school because of issues with children picking on my child. Staff seem to have no control over this issue. students are allowed to go unpunished for their treatment of other students. Or the victim is given concequneses.

Now lets get it IB certified. This is a STELLAR school that will challenge any student that wants it. If your child is a lackluster kid that has no motivation and you are a substandard parent, don't expect a miracle.

My son has Autism and was in the ICAP program for 6th grade and had a very tough year. The work that they were giving him was way beyond his skill level. His teacher was not interested in hearing what I had to say and would talk over me, so I couldn't to communicate my opinions. I strongly discourage anyone who has a special needs child to send them to Running Brushy Middle School. This year I am transferring my son to Leander Middle School because I can't send my son there this year. I have nothing to lose at this point.

Excellent school where children are supported and encouraged to excel . The teachers seem to love their jobs and it shows.
