This school is terrible. not only was it my 1st year being there and that was a horrid experience. mold and cobwebs were everywhere, the bathrooms were rarely ever cleaned, and the school lunch just burns me to my core. please do better as a whole and don’t disappoint.

So grateful my child is now attending CHS. Had horrible experiences at this place. Also grateful Business teacher did not follow over to CHS. She is the laziest teacher I have ever heard of. Doesn't do any teaching!

KISD is a Joke you are better off trying Belton or Copperas Cove. There is so much favoritism in KISD that your child just gets screwed over if you aren't faculty. There is nothing you can do and no one to complain to since your child would get punished. Go to another District and stay away from Harker Heights in particular!!!

Did not see it in the athlete's and these are the main students who represent the school.

They put all the students in one category and always assume the worst. Instead of treating them first and foremost with the respect they deserve.

My child was a transfer student from Missouri. Totally different experience. Never once did I get a chance to meet the teachers. Missouri had student lead parent confernces at least 3 times a year. I figured it would be the same here and we would get to make one second semester but nothing. My student saw right away the lack of school spirit and stregent school rules that left no room for self growth. Teachers were rude when she didn't know how/about scholology. Instead of inquiring if she was new at the school they assumed she was trying to be a trouble maker. Three adults gave her a cold shoulder and she ended up having to go back and ask a fellow classmate to help her. We went to a few bball games coaches seemed to involved with crowd and not with their athletes. Did not see much respect either way in fact there was a fight started by our athlete against the other team. Wondering if I made the right decision to move from Missouri...

This school has all types of teachers...like every school. To say that all are professional "saints" would be a like just as in ANY school. The overwhelming majority of teachers show up, do their job as best they can and make a difference. I feel HHHS makes a difference in these students' lives.

Honestly, there's about 100 teachers...all do different things. Just do the homework, cooperate and graduate. Your high schooler is not leaving HHHS a dummy! Trust me. I'd be scared to send them elsewhere in KISD!

Wake up parents, schools don't teach this...other parents do. A high school can only take a kid with a good foundation and make them better. Overall YES, this school seems to have fair, respectful students.

Are you kidding me...we've been very successful here! In high school don't kid yourself...if your kids are studying they're doing fine. This school does not seem to have a lot of drama which is nice.

The AVID program in this school is amazing. The teachers involved really care and can graduate your student as a sophomore in college!

I have had numerous difficulties with the special education dept at this school. They do not enforce the IEP and they changed the notes from the IEP meeting. They sent home a form for me to sign that I understood that certain assistance wasn't available and when I called them on it they said it was a mistake. They tried to hold my son from attending the technical school, I had to file a formal complaint to get it corrected. Not a good school if your child enrolled in special ed. Principal and assistant principals seem to take appropriate action as needed and my child is mainstreamed (in normal classes) and that goes well.

Harker Heights High School is a great place! The teachers are friendly, the sports are competitive, and its an all around great atmosphere! I had an amazing time at Heights and I wouldn't have wanted to go anywhere else. The school gives you all the tools you need to succeed, its just up to you to rise to the challenge!
