You want a personal in-depth review from someone who was a student? Well here I am. The interior isnt all too bad, but the students and teachers are what make the school afterall. Not many people in this school are too enthusiastic about learning, well really what student is? The teachers arent all too bad but from what Ive heard and dealt with, there are some teachers who dont grade on time, some who blatantly are rude, and some who dont give a damn about special needs. Of course I dont think all of them are like this, Ive met the social worker before, they were super kind to me and the kids who dropped by her office while I was there. My friend who is in the special needs program got targeted by her teacher, and then (I witnessed this) also shamed by another because she didnt wanna play soccer with another student. This school has far too many fights, as in a fight every other day, and also bullying is INCREDIBLY common. Also the nurses gossip and I love to listen whenever I can, you get ALL the tea. Ps some kids may have ankle monitors on and I really dont want to find out why.

Worst school I ever had to deal with. I call them like 15 times nobody answered me left them messages and never received a phone call back. Since they never call me back and nobody answered my phone calls I decided to show up there so I had to go through 6 different people to get my questions answered. They looked so lost unprofessional rude and disrespectful. People there need to show up a little bit more enthusiasm on helping parents and students with their needs. This school doesnt deserve my taxes reason why I pulling my kid out of there and moving out from this district. Please people dont enroll your kids there I believe our taxes need to go where we as parents and students be treat like humans and respect.

The worst school ever if you want your child to have an education! Suspended my daughter second day of her being there cause she didn't want to set by boys as the teacher was moving kids around and class was being disrupted by all students. They claim my daughter got suspended because of "class disruption" when the class was already being disruptive thats why teacher was moving kids around. second time she got suspened because she was doing her work in science class! Third and final time she got suspended was for not having her ID visible to the science teacher eyes. "dress code" 3X suspended for stupid reasons. Only her 8th day there. They never called me! They held her in the office until end of day without giving her an education! I was warned about this school before transferring her due to the bullying in all of the JISD schools that this school wasn't any better! I had to see for myself. Yes....they are right! A teacher is going around telling the 8th grade students that my daughter was transferred to their school because she was crazy not because she was bullied! "A TEACHER SPREADING LIES ABOUT MY DAUGHTER!" Here they are suspending my daughter for stupid reasons and they turn their heads the other way and let their staff spread gossip and lies of my daughter that has been verbally, physically abused by the school in JISD, and do nothing to the staff that disobey the laws or their jobs! If you have special needs child, or you have a child that is emotional, or a child who can't defend themselves or doesn't like bad people or gangs then don't dare to enroll your child here, or in any JISD school. Better off homeschooling them to give them a better future and a descent education!

This school isn't fair! This school doesn't treat children equally, they pick and choose who they want to treat and educate! They also DO NOT accept children with "special needs"! They accept into their school but then once in their school, they treat them unfairly and unkind behind closed doors!

This school is the best school that I have attended. 8 months ago I moved to Port Lavaca, and let me just say that i really do miss that school.....

I went to this school and I hated it but that was my fault. Education wise, this school was excellent. I feel that I got all the education I needed and that I got taught well. I've ran into some of the best teachers I've seen in this school. However, I don't recommend this school for special ed kids. In my PE class a special ed kid got bullied so much. Also, while I was there a lot of kids were very respectful to me even though was very different from them.
