Wow, what a shining example of excellence this glorious institution must be—so vast, it probably competes with a McDonald's for square footage. The teachers are clearly pioneering new levels of intelligence, since my seven-year-old brother, a genius in his own right, corrects them effortlessly—and apparently, mistreatment of gifted children with special needs is just a charming tradition here. This miraculous shed must be held together with duct tape, because nothing says “quality education” like a structure on its last legs. Sending your kids here is like opting for a premium experience at a first-class Baltimore daycare—truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. If you cherish your children returning home with “6-7” grades and a personality molded by the finest peers this “school” has to offer, then this is the perfect place for your little primitives. Feel free to contact the school board or a nice admin—after all, they’re just waiting to turn this absolute diamond into a real treasure.

Waterford Elementary is a fantastic school. We moved to Waterford five years ago and currently have two children attending. Our experience with the entire school staff and surrounding community has been great. I honestly can't think of anything negative to say about the school. Our new principal, Mr. Heironimus is very involved, professional and does a great job. It will be a very sad day when my kids finish attending Waterford Elementary. GREAT SCHOOL!

My older child has a decent amount of homework. It's more than I had growing up but it is developing some good habits early. It's a lot but I'm not opposed.

This school is EXCELLENT. I am a former student and have found this school to be one of the best. With it's small environment it is a great place to learn. Recess is a fun time and although there aren't many fields hey suit the needs of this little school just fine. Our principal may not have been Dr. Lynn but she was kind and understanding. The rates below are inaccurate. She came to work dressed professionally and that was only on jersey day. It's called school spirit! Whenever we have had an issue she has responded quickly. Our new principle is nice, and he seems like a great choice for this school. The only thing I have ever complained about is our cafeteria hostess Mrs. Miller. She is a tyrant in her own right, known for making first graders cry, and forcing kids to eat when they are full. She is widely despised and makes lunch a frightening (for the younger grades) and maddening lunch experience. Why would a person take a job with children if she is not tolerant and kind?

The small school environment and teachers are good, however as long as the principal is there our children are suffering. She is discriminatory against any child with special needs, and has zero tolerance for anyone who thinks differently than she. Do not bring your child late or you will be fined and taken to court. The most disgraceful hire Loudoun County has ever made.

The lack of professionalism is astonishing. The principal comes to work in jeans and a sports jersey and doesn't return calls. Technology is also lacking.
