I would not recommend this school if you have a choice please consider sending your children elsewhere. Safety my seem like a priority at first look but it is not. It is a school of bullying from both the students and staff alike

I am perplexed that the school is rated so low based solely on "data". I have had the pleasure of being a part of the Carver Colt school family for 3 years now. Before enrolling 3 of my children at the school, I too relied on reviews found online via Google and GreatSchools.org. I was apprehensive about enrollment due to what I read in the reviews. I am so glad I gave this school a chance. The faculty, staff, and volunteers are wonderful! I had a child in their special needs program for 2 years and it was life-changing (for the better). The teachers care about their students and it's evident in the relationships and the opportunities for the students. From safety patrol to the 5th-grade honor society and more - there are opportunities for students to get involved and learn responsibilities. The school faculty goes above and beyond to create community and partner with outstanding programs like Soundscapes - a nonprofit youth development organization that uses music instruction and performance to develop life skills in students from early childhood to early adulthood. My children have enjoyed their time, teachers, and experiences at Carver, as I have had the peace to send them to school. I hope my review makes a positive difference online for parents who want to know what's happening at the school.

Excellent faculty and staff. My kids are much happier here than in Portsmouth and their academics have improved, as well their interpersonal skills. Amazing communications.

My child absolutely loves Carver Elementary. He says it is the best school in the world. The faculty and staff at Carver elementary are truly awesome. They are very efficient at meeting the needs of the parents and students. They are extremely diligent at resolving issues/concerns in a timely manner. Also the kids are so respectful and great at helping each other. I am proud to say my child is a Carver Elementary student. I wouldn't have it any other way.

Would not recommend this school esp. for those parents that take bullying serious...The new principal needs to be let go.

I love Carver Elementary because of its collaborative classroom. My son is on the Autism spectrum and the key to success for him was the working together of the regular ed teacher and the special ed teacher. He remained in a regular classroom setting. The principal, the parent liaison, the teacher and student assistants, and all of the staff worked together to everything possible to make every student successful. The also encourage the parents by letting know that are apart of their child's education. A grateful parent!

I love Carver elementary because its a great school. One of the things I rember most as parent of a student at that school is that the principle would stand in the hall way every morning and would personally meet amd greet each one one those students and call them by name as they passed her always with a smile on her face. Mrs. Spencer has done alot to improve carver and make it a better school.The teachers are all onboard with each other and all work well together.
