This school is the worst to Teach!! The disrespectful , rude and disgusting behavior of students makes teaching hard. Bullying and fighting is daily event. They shout at teachers and laughing about it.

If I could give zero stars I would. The bullying, fighting, lack of communication is atrocious. Teacher and staff do not protect, teach, or care about the students education or safety. Racism is off the charts. There is no homework sent home. Communication does not exist. Third party organizations are brought in without parent notification. Few after school programs offered. My children actually slide backwards in less than 3 months. Do NOT send your child to this school.

Keep your kids out of Norview. Horrific bullying continues to happen and the Dean's do not effectively investigate or deal with the children that are causing the issues and constant excuses are made. It is proving that the Dean's are extremely bias and it's inexcusable.

Hands down the worst school I have EVER had to deal with as far as special education and parent teacher interactions. Unfortunately this school does not know how to properly handle children's IEP's. I am extremely disappointed in the communication and attitudes of some of the teachers. I must say I expected more from the special education department and teachers. I have spoken with them numerous time only to be assured it was being taken care of, and in the end only for my child and myself to be let down. I will be filling with the state as they are not following the IEP's like they are suppose to.

I was bullied and had rocks thrown at me when I walked home everyday. Eventually I had to be hospitalized because of how bad my depression got from the bullying.

Poor at best. My Grandchild was bullied throughout the years, was pushed down stairs, into the bleachers, onto the ground during P.E. He received a gash in his head requiring 6 stitches. NOTHING was done to the offenders other than a lecture given.

Some teachers don't give out any homework. Other teachers give out a reasonable amount of homework. The students complain about how much homework they have and many of them don't bother doing any homework.

I think it tries, but when those values are not enforced in the home it doesn't do any good.

This school is in a very challenging environment. Poverty and crime are high and children get very little support at home. Many of the parents and students want to do well, and most of the teachers care about helping their students, but there is only so much that they can do. The community needs to work together to improve things overall or it's not going to get any better.

Most of the teachers seem to really care about the student and try to make learning fun. This is a challenging environment but the lack of student success cannot be blamed on the teachers.

Hi Moms and Dads and school administrators! I will say this as tactfully as I can. This school has failed my child over and over again. It is so poorly run that I can't even find the words to describe. The teachers are very sub-par with their attitudes about the learning experience. When we left this school and moved to a new school, my child was in for a full-culture shock to be at a school that actually challenged and cared about each and every child. I would not recommend ANYONE send their child to this school. The children are very unruly and not well-managed. BULLYING is outrageous here and the only recourse is to go to the police or to the court to press charges. I am just very, very disheartened for the few children who do want to learn yet are forced to stay at this school where the morale is so low. The counselors are a joke and only look at the issues from a very surface level. They are arrogant and belittling and even condescending when they speak with you. I am just sad that such a school exists. This is my honest experience of this school from the school year 2013 & 2014. Hope it helps.

I must say this school is a mess! You have children bullying, fighting, cursing, and very disrespectful! The school is full of unconcerned teachers, lazy security guards, unfair deans, and a principal who is never there to speak to you when you need it! I refuse to let my child be apart of this school because her raputation and education would be ruined! I advise anyone that care for thier child safety and education to not enroll them in this particular school! The staff is very unprofessional and there only for a pay check!

This school is horrible! My sons went here and learned the worst values I have ever seen. One son failed all year and when questioned about it to the school about what the teachers were doing he came home with the last report card passing in everything g and passed hi.veto the seventh grade! This school is a joke. I was scared for my kids everyday I had to move one year was enough!

This school is terrible for bullying, racism, fighting, drugs, and craziness! Most of the teachers try to do all that they can, but the white teachers are disrespected (by students and other teachers) and the black teachers just yell. There is a lot of black against white racism at all levels and the administration doesn't do anything about it. The teachers' hands are tied when it comes to getting the disruptive students out of the classrooms so the other students can learn. Some of these kids need to be sent to alternative schools. Teachers can't teach because kids are so bad and disrespectful! Too many kids don't care about school and their parents don't do anything about it at home. I can't wait to get away from this school!! Avoid this school if you value your child and their education.

This school is such a joke. Sure the have the SAME academic materials as every middle school in the area but their delivery is terrible and the types of students the go there are just as bad. Granted, the old adage about how much you (your child) puts into their education determines how much they get out of it. However, the environment here breeds gangs, drugs, weapons on property and the teachers who feel as if their hands are tied on how to correct insolent behaviors. Without changes, all the children who want to learn and have abilities are succumbing to the societal norms of an inner-city school, especially since this is such an impressionable age for the kids. NPS needs to think in this century not good old 1950's and address bad behaviors with a zero tolerance policy and place THOSE insolent kids into alternative schools. So they can learn and understand in an environment they know well.

I think this school should be closed down. My son went here for two years he started as a good student who liked school but after Norview he failed twice, got suspended for fighting, & began to skip school. My son had never been in a fight or missed more than 5 days for the year. Fortunately we've moved from the district because it was my daughters turn to go to norview & I really was afraid for her. If you can help it don't send your children here they go in as good innocent children & come out drop-outs with rap sheets. The staff could care less should all be fired.

Glad I sent my child to Norview Middle School, he will leave this school this year with 6 high school credits, so for me Norview Middle does have teachers and higher ups that do care.

We are new to the area, and wow they really need to get a handle on these kids. Arrival and dismissal is like being at a prison courtyard. These kids need there mouths washed out, and shame on them for talking this way with parents are around or at all for that matter. It makes me scared to know what is going on inside that building for my child. I just do not understand what is going on with this world. I know some of their parents and I know they do not let them act like this. It is horrible.
