some teachers there have been very nice and helpful but overall they don’t care about your kid unless they fit the mold they want in Poquoson.

Some teachers do not even respond to parent calls or emails.

Bullying is horrible there and the schools day they care about bullying but it happens so bad there. Anyone who doesn’t fit their mold.

This school is excellent. The faculty and staff genuinely care. The building is not great and should Ben rebuilt. HOWever, the people Inside that facility are top notch.

We moved to Poqouson after the school had already started - my 12 yr old was assigned several different kids his first week to get him to the right classes & ease some nerves from being new (especially helpful in a smaller community) He loves the school & classmates. He said the kids seem nicer than his previous school & not as many troublemakers. He only wished there was more diversity - he notices that - not the school's fault but we are hopeful more diversity happens in the future - more of a community thing on ensuring all feel welcome - which I can say is all i have seen & experienced since we moved here. We are all very happy to be apart of this very generous & giving community! PMS has great teachers that communicate with parent & even online parent portals & edline which helps staying informed about your childs performance - love the school system!

there is tons of drama, and bullying. PMS has "Take A Stand Lend A Hand." A anti-bullying program every Wednesday durning 6th period. It doesn't help at all. Bullying happens like crazy.

PMS is a fantastic school. My son's teachers meet daily to discuss any student issues, and are always open to parents. As the only middle school in the district, it fully represents the community it serves.
