Sandy Hook is an excellent school. My daughter has attended K & 1st. I am amazed at how much my daughter has learned, she is reading better now in first grade than I read at 5th or 6th grade. The parent involvement is great as well. I am involved in the Watch Dog program at the school & you can definetly feel the apprecation from the students as well as the teachers. I would highly recommend this school.

Love this school! My daughter learned more in a week there than she did in a month warren county .

Sandy Hook has a lot of parent volunteers, but it lacks the real basics, such as textbooks. I could not believe my 4th grader had no textbooks -- just photocopied worksheets and old standardized tests. The teacher quality also drops sharply after the younger grades (K-2 or 3). Probably because they know they are just teaching to the test anyway which is not their doing, but it is the reality.
