i love it my kids loved it here too and my youngest is a 8th grade here she loved the environment and had so many fun teachers there with greta sports teams and many friends

Some of the teachers at this school have a woke agenda and the admin team does not care that they are breaking district policy. The students are also always on their computers. They dont physically write very much, they dont use textbooks, and they are not allowed to use their locker due to safety. Its a very large school so good luck trying to get anyone to return a phone call. Due to how large it is it is also difficult for the children to participate in sports. Students are a little fish in a big sea.

My son started middle school as a new student and has flourished at this school in advanced classes. Its a beautiful school and we have had zero issues for the last 2 years. Im so thankful he is at such a wonderful school with teachers who care.

The school is a pretty upgrade however the principal needs to be upgraded. Pretty much zero family involvement they couldnt even have an 8th grade graduation or anything for the moving up kids. It's like they just don't matter. The school itself could afford so many opportunities to engage students but the administration just does nothing.

This school is a disappointment in organization and communication with families. There has been several times the office staff has gotten dates wrong, adapted a nasty tone and been rather disrespectful to parents they don't like. They favor students whose families they know, the ones with connections. The security guards are all the same race and give some students a harder time then others, all about the connections at this school. Administrators don't care about solving problems, more like creating them for families they don't favor.

My child attended the "old" Princess Anne Middle School, beginning in the middle of the year during her 7th grade. We bought a home in the Red Mill area, leaving Great Neck behind. Was the best move we made. The staff made my daughter feel welcome, even assigning another student to help her around the first week of school. My daughter did not have to worry about sitting alone at lunch and to a military family, that meant the world. The counselor went above and beyond in helping make my daughter feel comfortable and the staff was kind and supportive.
I cannot give any reviews on the new Princess Anne Middle School but from what I have seen, it is beautiful.

When my child first entered this school in 6th & 7th grade, it was a awful experience. My child was bullied by another student for a long while, and it went on from one year to the next. I had no help from the Principal and the Assistant Principle . They denied the situations because of ignorance, assumptions, and bad follow up work of the Assistant Principal (who is still there). The assigned Assistant Principal did more harm than good which negatively effected my child greatly. When the new Principle came aboard, I contacted her and talked to her about the prior years. She made sure to help change the problems. We were assigned a new Assistant Principal, as I asked for, and she made sure the other student would not be in same classes. In the end, the whole truth came out, and my son and I were believed when this other child actually attacked him in front of other teachers and students, without cause on my child's part. My child's grades went from bad to great! They have a good IEP program overall but do not expect it to be as comprehensive as some elementary schools. I do not believe in the the other racism reviews on here. That school has all races who work there, and they obviously get along well. I should know as many times that I have been there.

Teachers seem to truly care about their students and want them to do well. Every time I had a question and sent an email, I received a polite response from the teacher.

My daughter has autism. Going from the very protected and safe environment of ES to MS had me worried, but I had no reason to be. The Islanders Team at PAMS with sped teachers (Barbour and Wing) was fabulous, caring, and dedicated. They helped my daughter make great academic progress and pass her SOL's without difficulty. They also fostered independence and resilience.

My daughter's first year at PAMS was truly above my expectations. She had a wonderful and successful school year. I'm now confident her middle school experience will continue to be great!

Very dissatisfied. The difference in treatment of a gifted student and average student is obvious. I had one of each go through PAMS and the average student treatment was an eye opening experience.

Not effective at all. Waited weeks before I would see a grade for my child's homework. Teachers would "misplace" the work and child would not get credit.

7th grade teachers, with the exception of one or two caring teachers, were extremely discouraging, unhelpful and uncaring about average scoring kids.

It was an amazing school to be in! The teachers are great and inspiring. If you get Mrs. George, Ammons, Trojnar, Parker, Abrams, and Anoia then you are lucky because these teachers made my school year amazing! I'm going into 8th grade and I'm sure it's going to be amazing as well.

I Love PAMS! From the teachers, to the principals, to the lunch ladies, This is totally the school to be at! People don't disrespect others and students get punished fairly based on bad actions. It's safe, loyal, and promising!

Princess Anne Middle has some great teachers and overall does a great job with its students. My problem is that it does a terrible job with minority students. It not only allows them to be bullied and ostracized, the administration is complicit in the actions. You are not allowed to be different in any way at PA Middle without students and faculty coming down hard on you.
