My children attend LFK, they came from Fairfax County schools and LFK/Warren county has been great! Great teachers, great environment, my children are happy and thriving at this school. Bullying was a major issue in Fairfax. LFK is zero tolerance for bullying. No issues. We highly recommend this school!

My son is in Mrs. Scheulens (with the help of Mrs. Deavers) Kindergarten class, and I am thrilled about how much he is learning. I hope she is still around when my youngest son joins LFK, and will hopefully request her as a teacher for him as well. I gave my son the option to homeschool or go to public school, and he wanted to do learning with a whole class. I had my reservations, but it was so difficult trying to teach him myself, he just didnt want to do it with ME, and would often get frustrated. He went from 0-100 with really wanting to learn at home as well as showing me all of the things he accomplishes at school. I love how often he tries to write words, sounds them out, asks me to read to him, and counts/does math to show off his skills at home. He is also much more into music and doing additional crafts when he comes home. The transition from home to public school was a little bumpy at first, but Im SO HAPPY and proud of how far my son has come in such a short time. Thank you, the hard work of the teachers and staff dont go unnoticed. I hope with the change of principal, I will continue to feel great about my sons education.

Great school for many reason the teachers are helping as well as guidance. They do not tolerate bullying. However my son got his permanent grown up tooth broken when the person teacher hit him with a pool noodle on the back for tag and my sons face with the gym concert floor. As well as my son is suspected to have adhd or and IEP but I was told do to absences they couldnt test him for an IEP to help him because he was out when he was sick.

This is one of the best schools in the area. The staff is professional and will go out of their way to help all children in the school. They are friendly and approachable.
I would recommend this school.

Do not walk, but RUN from this school. We moved into the area this past year and had three children at LFK. We removed them to homeschool for the last three months because this school is so bad. Our children reported that they and other students were yelled at, publicly shamed, and intimidated by teachers. They were also made to run laps for late homework. The instructional quality was poor, with limited options for extracurricular activities, and the environment inside the building was drab and depressing. We visited the classrooms on more than one occasion only to witness firsthand that, indeed, the children were yelled at and shamed in front of their peers. Speaking with the principal had little effect, although she listened sympathetically. Our one child's kindergarten teacher seemed nice; however the magnitude of poor behavior from our other children's teachers, in addition to the overall poor instructional quality, eclipsed that completely. Do not subject your child to this school if you can avoid it.

Leslie Fox kysier, the staff and volunteers who work there are the friendliest and most helpful of any school I have ever known. I rate them five Stars.

I am very pleased with this school. My child is a rising 5th grader and has been with LFK since the 1st grade. We've dealt with a host of issues related to his development and the school teachers have been very involved and helpful.
