Our grandson is having a wonderful experience being a student at gateway. He is getting an excellent education from very loving and supportive teachers and staff. He is also learning to be an upstanding person with a growing love in his soul and heart for Jesus.

The school is great! I have a k4 and 5th grader there. They love it. My 5th grader started there last year and was behind her peers academically due to the public schools. After one year of being there she has caught up to her peers, if not, at least surpassed, some of them in some subject areas. The teachers care about their students and want to see them succeed. I would recommend this school to all my friends and family which I do.

I have two students who are enrolled in the lower school. Teachers provide effective and quick communication and my girls love it. The only issue is homework. My daughter struggled with the way math was taught but math homework was not given to reinforce skills at home. I did ask the teacher for sample copies of classwork assignments to help my 1st grader at home. Grateful that her teachers have been kind and helpful when it came to helping her with math.

The teachers really care about their students.Great school ! I love it here !

Posted: October 16, 2016

The homework th eyes give is a joke. They give you the answers to the test and tell you to study them.

Posted: October 16, 2016

In know way do they help the students unless you beg for help and then you dont get it.

Posted: October 8, 2016

They never deal with bullying. Only one teacher handles bullying and she is in the middle school building. Awesome teacher ever great people teacher to. Only her and two other teacher are awesome D.P, The other D.P and the people teacher. The rest need help

Posted: October 8, 2016

They do not have any leadership. None at all in the elementary building. The principal is bully because he is a male he thinks he can tell any female what to do. Wrong.

Posted: October 8, 2016

Never!!! They don't want your opinions. If you try to give it. They shut you down quick. You will not be able to say a word.

Posted: October 1, 2016

The teacher are disrespectful to students unless another adult is around. I'd your from the elite families your favored and don't get in trouble. Thus was awful and it's supposed to be godly so far from it. They fake it when parents are around.

I'm a parent of a K5 and 4th grader at GCA. This is their first year attending GCA and what an amazing year this has been. The school has an excellent ciriculum that balances academics and Christian principals. They have computers, iPads, Apple TV's, music class, language class, and RenWeb. The building is secured at all times and you have to be buzzed into the school. The school is affordable and not a big focus on finances and fund raising. You can pay on the 20th verses the 1st of each month. Hours offered 6am-6pm. The teachers care for children like family. Many school activities, events, pep rally's, field trips, and chapel time. The teachers communicate through text and email. My children love getting up each morning and going to school. They are learning so much and enjoy school. My 4th grader is reading at an 11th grade level. I can go on and on, this is a fabulous school and we are blessed to be part of the GCA family.

As the parent of a former student, the school did not provide quality parent teacher relationships, nor did they foster genuine Christian relationships. The principal and teachers in lower school were rude and uncaring. The school did not encourage physical education, art or music programs. It was a bad experience for us. Wouldn't recommend this "school " to anyone.

Academically, I feel like my kids are getting a great education. While I like the structure, I believe there is an overly tremendous focus on rules and penalizing the students for the smallest things. The thing that I disagree with the most is having the kids repititiously repeat the pledges to objects and the Model Prayer without giving them a real understanding of what and why. Nevertheless, it isn't enough to make me take them out. It's my responsibility as a parent to teach them God's truth at home.

I believe their effectiveness depends on the involvement of the parents. I'm a very involved parent, so I get great results with teachers.

Honesty and integrity ... Yes, but fairness ... NO! The kids are given "so-called" responsibilities such as hall & bathroom monitors that put them in positions whereas they delight in tattle tailing and robs them of the ability to work out issues among themselves without having to always go to the teacher.

Gateway Christian school is a GREAT school. The teachers go out of their way to tend to the children. The smaller class sizes definetely make individual attention possible. Not only is there a focus on academics, but on nurturing spiritual growth and morals as well. There are also extracurricular activites and sports available for fun. We have thoroughly enjoyed the overall experience and sense of community. Our children cannot wait to go back next year :)

This school was a horrible experience for my child. He felt left out and unwanted here. The students were unforgiving and judgmental and the teachers did nothing about it. They focus too much on their own rules and forget that the students will eventually have to actually make it in the real world.

On the outside, this school looked promising, but once we got more familiar with the system here, the school's true colors showed. There's a "hierarchy" of sorts here. The kids who come from the families with the most money and the ones who are good at sports are treated WAY better than the ones who aren't. The staff treats the kids who aren't exceptional at athletics like trash. Some of the teachers are genuinely nice, but it's not worth spending the money to only get a few nice teachers. If you want to have an enjoyable experience, you better make sure you're good at sports or you better be insanely rich.

Our daughter has really enjoyed her time here. We move often for my husbands job so it's not always easy finding the right school. The staff are very friendly and the class size is perfect!

We have been involved in Gateway Christian School for almost 20 years now. I have had 7 of my 10 children graduate with 2 more to go. I have a nurse, a CPA, a music teacher, one who is pursuing a major in organic chemistry, and one who is studying to be an elementary teacher. Gateway has more than prepared them for college and the "big world" out there. I praise the Lord for Gateway Christian School.

this school is a great place to send your child. our son loves it and is learning at a wonderful pace. Not only is he learning his academics but the focus of this school on the spiritual life is wonderful. This is truly a Christ-centered school and the staff are truly Christian people who care about my child.

I agree that this school provides a good foundation for the younger students, however as a parent of a former student, I was dissatisfied with the education quality. My child receives better care and attention in the public school system. There is too much pressure regarding rules, regulations, and appearance. I do not feel that these things are a part of Christian education. The teachers are concerned and caring but lack the resources to be able to provide much for the children.

As a parent of a former student, I agree that this school could use better resources. I also agree that my child receives better care in the public school system. Also agree that Christian Values DO NOT mean that you have to be the same as every other christian student. God is all about diversity and marvels in our differences, wether that is appearance or acedemic achievement. I fear this school has forgotten that.
