My kid has been here since 2nd grade - she is now in 6th grade. Love the teachers! So happy we found this school and community.

My daughter is going into her 3rd year here (after being at public school for 2 years) and we could not be more pleased! The staff and families are all wonderful. Anytime I need anything at all I get a quick and caring response. My daughter is happy here, too. They are teaching her everything she needs to know regarding academics, and they are also helping me to raise a good, ethical, wonderful little girl who will contribute to society. LOVE STCS!

We are very disappointed in our child's school experience. We had high hopes for positive changes after the principal and 14 good teachers left in 2018, but the school has so many issues--bullying, indifferent teachers, 28+ children in a classroom (a lot for a private school). Every year key staff members are leaving. We are on our third PE teacher in three years. There is little to no consistency, and no warmth. The students are just shuffled from subject to subject. Due to large class sizes (28+), there is little time for one-to-one help, and there is ZERO character development. We are putting in the work as a family to build our child's self-esteem back up after being bullied at school, but with indifferent teachers and little discipline for disruptive and mean students, the issues continue. We don't see the same effort from the administrators and teachers. The school does not have a handle on disciplinary issues and the distractions they cause. We enrolled our child in this school in hopes of thriving from the strong Christian morals and values being taught, but we are doing damage control at home on a weekly basis either due to disruptive, mean students or unenthusiastic and uncaring teachers. Unless something drastically changes for the better, we will not be returning or enrolling our other children as we originally planned to do so.

We've had great teachers, as well as teachers that are vague and inaccessible.

There is little to no character education.

The school does not implement its bullying policy as outlined in the student handbook, nor do they validate your concerns when your child is being bullied.

We have been at the school for 10 years. The elementary program and it’s teachers were wonderful, but everything changed once we hit middle school. The middle school program is horrendous. The principal is less than professional to not only her students and families, but her staff as well. As a result, 14 of her teachers and staff have quit this summer. We have begged the diocese for help but they haven’t given us anything. Our experience in LCPS far outweighs our experience at STS. I highly discourage enrollment until a new principal is assigned. This school had the potential to be wonderful, but 14 great teachers and staff are now gone. It’s a shame.

My kids have been at STS for about 6 years now and I have been incredibly impressed with the loving teachers, staff support and the community. I am so happy that my children have developed a special relationship with God. We have 3 priests who have been supportive of the school and even lead special retreat days. It is a warm loving environment and I am happy we moved to Ashburn to become part of it.

I sent my two oldest children here from kindergarten to eighth grade and I plan on pulling my youngest out after fifth grade. The middle school experience was terrible for my oldest children, especially now after a new set of rules has been added. The "STS Middle School Mid-Year Re-commitment to Excellence Action Plan" has added a great deal of stress to middle school life and taken much of the fun out. One of the rules added requires teachers to give a "reflection" question first thing in the morning (that is sometimes completely unnecesary or elementary questions such as "how was your weekend" or "why should we share") that is just an excuse for the teachers to give a rule to prevent students to TALK TO EACH OTHER in the few minutes they have between arriving to school and their first class. Another rule forces the students to only move right in the hallways, hugging the wall silently. If their next class is two steps away on their left, they have to walk around the length of the middle school wing to get there. This method of navigating the hallways is called the "river", and if this "river" is crossed, the students are stripped of privileges. In addition, students are punished for wearing SOCKS WITH LOGOS. In conclusion, this school has ruined my chidren's middle school experience and I urge you to not enroll your child.

Teachers and curriculum are superb, but school leadership is unresponsive and overly authoritative to the parent community. I am a full time working mom and cannot spend much time at the school, however, on the three occasions I have reached out to the principal the responses were less than remarkable -- one tepid response and two non-responses. In addition to the Catholic education, one of most important reasons we choose private over public school is so we can maintain an open dialogue with school leadership, and in that respect I've been extremely disappointed with STS.

STS is a warm, caring environment for children to learn and grow. We are in our second year at STS and couldn't be happier. Our child is doing very with her reading and math skills and has developed a love of both. The teachers are just wonderful, they truly care and are available to help. Family/Parent involvement is encouraged and as a result there is a strong community of families looking out for each other.
