Im currently in my last year at this school. It is absolutely horrible. Ive had mutiple issues with being hate crimed harrased and bullied and the school has done practically nothing about it! They claim to care about students mental health however they do not. The school is also very small for how many people attend there and instead of improving the school it seems like the budget is just going to useless things. Loudoun county has been very dissapointing and I hope high school is better.

I went to this school a while ago and in my experience It was horrible , I experienced a lot of bullying and fights and when I addressed it to the staff like they said to , they did not address the issues at all , it was constant , year after year after year , the staff is nice but does not address the bullying issues , the teachers have very clear favoritism and if you weren't their favorite chances are they would not help you , the school staff in several situations to not just me but to my friends saw , sexual harassment, sexual abuse , bullying , racism , slurs , and so much more and when we reported stuff nothing was done , this school is a joke , has some absolutely great and amazing teachers and most of them left and I cant blame them. The staff except for teachers are a joke and useless.

Im a parent of a graduating 8th grader. Weve been at the school for 3 years. Its been a very difficult 3 years and to be honest I will be glad to leave. My main concern is with the leadership. The principal seems to have lost focus on what is important. This last year has been extremely difficult and the principal seems to have disengaged and detached himself from the problems in his school.

This school has fairly ok approach towards home work. Here i would like to suggest that instead of computer based homework, if they can stress on pen and book based home work it would be great,

My kid is currently in 7th grade in this school. I have had fairly good experience as far as teachers are concerned. They are very responsive to all my queries. They also extend assistance to kids whenever it is needed.Overall i am satisfied with this school

River Bend is an excellent school with caring teachers who go above and beyond to help students succeed. The academics are top notch. The new principal Mr. Shaffer is excellent. He truly cares about the students and the school. Since he has been there the level of teaching and accountability has risen. The school also does a great job of communicating with parents. My daughter has made many friends there and she loves going to school everyday.

Kids are safe, teachers care, and parents are involved. Riverbend is a school where Teachers, Parents and Students are equally invested in the education process, making it a successful place to learn.

I go to River Bend currently and I find that it's no better or worse than any other middle school. What I find bad, though, are the space issues. The locker areas are crowded and because they're are too many students, there are several different lunches for all of them. In schools like Sterling, all the grades have one lunch together, as a grade, and I think it's the most proactive way to do things. Another bad thing is that with the new principal, there have been many drastic changes that the student body despises. The dress code for one. Shouldn't a school be more focused on education than what someone wears? Of course, if a student comes in wearing something explicit, actions need to be taken, but if he or she is wearing a hat? Or a pair of leggings? My last, and probably most significant complaint, is the fact that 8th graders were promised in the past that they would be able to listen to music during study hall. The principal has taken that privilege away. At Sterling, all three grades got to listen to music as long as they weren't failing any classes and I think that's a great idea to incorporate. Thats something that can be taken away for a valid reason- your grades are poor
