I didnt get the support I needed. One size fits all learning style. Bad support for neurodivergent students. Discrimination and hate is not addressed, bullying is not handled, victims get in trouble more than the kids who did the bad thing. Racism was a large problem among students. School acts like they know everything and believes that every student is the same and if you dont learn like everyone else they flat out literally call you stupid. Horrible school with no supports and acted like they knew what the student needed more than the parents. Awful school, terrible sanitation and some teachers are condescending and cruel. Bullies often get away with everything. Dont send anyone here it got so bad I and other people I knew had to switch to private school

My son and I love this school. The teachers are very nice and helpful. The counselors of seventh grade deal with the students problems. They give the homework which helps the students progress.

My child has been a Belmont Ridge student for the past two years, and I can say without a doubt this is a high performing school! The teachers are very involved and of high caliber, and the school's communication with parents is outstanding. Most of the children can walk to school in the morning, and I have yet to see anything close to bullying in the system.
This school is directly next to Riverside High School, which is no-doubt one of the best high schools in Virginia. If you are having second thoughts about your child attending Belmont Ridge, don't - you'll be hard pressed to find a better middle school in Loudon County.

Kids spend more time at school than at home. Why school blame parents for not helping students study at home. . School failed to force kids doing school work at school.

The school makes really stupid presentations about how to be kind and share when clearly nobody cares, we are teenagers were not in kindergarten. They don't teach us about mental health which a lot of kids at my school struggle with.
Posted: March 16, 2020
nobody is bullied for things that they cant really change.
Posted: March 16, 2020
I would say that my experience at Belmont would be okay. They swamp you with assignments which can be very stressful, but it is fun to be with your friends in school
Posted: March 16, 2020
they give all the kids way more homework than they can handle, my friends and I spend about 2 hours a day or more doing homework.
Posted: March 16, 2020
A lot of the teachers just sit back and do nothing all day while the kids go on our chromebooks.
Posted: March 16, 2020
They don't do anything. We just do our assignments and study it's all work with 30 minute boring lectures there is no fun. Which is why not a lot of kids pay attention.

Horrible on so many levels. If you have a different learner they do not have the appropriate programs. Their IEP meetings are farces. My kid regressed while there and everything is documented to prove it. Plus a year ago a kid talked about coming in before Christmas Break and shooting people. Parents let their kids stay home as a precaution.

Could not ask for a better learning institution for my kids. They have both gotten a great start in life by attending this school.

They do not overburden the kids but give them projects that are thought provoking and allow them to expand their minds.

This is a fantastic institution. Every year they have families fighting to have their children attend and I know people who have moved so that their children can attend school here. That's why they currently have an extra 100 students in attendance.
So the parent who thinks the 6th grade Counselor is "inept" probably just didn't get what they wanted and have now decided to anonymously vent their frustration. Comments and attitudes like this coming from a "parent" are likely the reason for the same type of behavior a lot of these "bullies" are exhibiting. It's called Social Learning so if this is how you're acting, cyberbullying staff members, then that's likely what our kids will do as well. Just saying.

The school cares more about giving the impression that they are great rather than actually teaching kids and being great. Fake grades, fake parents. The 6th grade counselor is inept. The school is one of the worst!

I think the "school administrators are more concerned with trying to keep their 'high ratings' than actually caring about their students and teaching honesty and caring

The administration and 1 particular guidance counselor are completely incompetent. 2 yrs ago my then 8th grader was being bullied by students and teachers and when all the info was presented to the admin, nothing was done to even try and control the situation. And this was after repeatedly sending emails and having face to face meetings. Most of the staff and teachers are well liked and very educated but when students are being harassed and bullied, the administration turned "a blind eye" to completely ignore the severity of the situation.

My son just started here this year. I have had a horrible experience with the school. First of all the counselor did not even show up on time to meet with my son. He was rude and did not introduce himself to us. The kids are all snobby brats from belmont country club(a wannabe rich community). I am taking my son out of this garbage school. I dont understand how it got a 9. It should be a 0.
