Just like the Western branch High I recommend this school with high regards! I personally as a parent felt my kids were safe and received the proper attention and guidance to preform at the best of their abilities. I am grateful to have them be able to attend. Honestly this school zone kept me and my family in the area and I have not been disappointed whatsoever.

This is school is all about student voice. There are so many great aspects like voting on school events, social justice, student leadership. I loved being a student there and you can have relationships with your teachers. I always felt heard and If I had an issue it was taken care of. All staff are kind and greet you everyday. There are also many programs and clubs and you can be apart of multiple without conflict. I wish I could still go there. :)

Terrible. Leadership is an example of how anyone can keep their job regardless of what they do

My child walks to school and is bullied by the high schoolers. He's told his teacher 2x, nothing was done. I've had him walk different route for now. I'll be visiting both schools if another altercation occurs.

Regular inner city school. Nothing special. We've had a coach (adult) horseplay with my son before 2nd bell, and accidentally bust his lip!. Instead of taking him to nurse and calling me, he sends him home with his cell number for ME to call the COACH "if I had any concerns "...wth?? I gathered he was a young adult, didn't want him to lose his job. But these are the people who keep my son all day and have the nerve to ID me to pick up my own offspring...EVERY SINGLE TIME...as if my face has changed.

My child recently came from no paper policy district. Why keep students 8hrs, to send them home with 2hrs of hw?

My son was bullied so much he became depressed and had to go to counseling. I couldn't get him out of bed and he was only 11. Another parent threatened him physical harm.

Western Branch Middle is probably one of the best middle schools in the district. The school is very diverse and has students from many different cultures and backgrounds and the teachers and staff are supportive of their students and do their best to ensure that they succeed. Overall, WBMS is a fantastic school and I highly recommend that you send your kids here.

At this school when bullying is reported it is always investigated and handled properly. This school does not allow bullies to get away with what they're doing and even ensures that sexual harassment cases are taken seriously.

They literally do nothing about it but "encourage" kids to "block out the haters"

Posted: June 18, 2017

terrible. the bathrooms have roaches and layers of dirt on the floor.

Office staff is rude do not speak when you enter office..I'm just use to greeting people...in the evening they let the kids come out without supervision...we have kidnappers and crazy people out here hoping all students are safe...teachers are great..I just think office staff could be a little more friendly towards parents..grandparents etc..

The school can improve it's dress code, we can't wear things that show our shoulders which sucks! When it's very hot were gonna sweat and what girl wants pit stains >.< ew! Another thing is the teachers all seem like their just there to get paid so that shows the students to just be there to pass. The students just think that they can get at least a "C" for each class and be done with it, and sadly that's true. The next thing is the discrimination. A lot of white girls wear things way above 3'in from their knee and don't get in trouble. Then at P.E there is a group of popular white people that NEVER dress out but still get "A"s. I have a "B-" and have not dressed out like 3 times and I am great at health. So obviously there is favoritism at Western Branch Middle School. I am not racist, I don't hate on white people. I actually am white. Lastly I don't like how the staff shows students that what they wear is more important than their learning; say they will keep you in the office waiting for your parents that are at WORK when your shoulders are showing when you can be in english. Also they are teaching that boys will be boys and your back will distract them from their school work!

I have 2 kids currently enrolled, they are not the best students academically but the staff and teachers are definitely doing a great job along with my family at homes assistance. I love the WB schools, I wouldn't want them to go anywhere else!!!
