The teachers are very effective. My son is reading at a 5th grade level in the 2nd grade and most kids score in the 90%+ percentile on the standardized testing they take.

The kids learn Christian values and morals and are very loving to each other. I have not seen bullying in the 3 years as a parent. The kids are taught to help and lift each other up.

My son is in the second grade here and he has a fair amount of homework but he is always able to complete it within an hour.

I have had a great experience here. I have 2 children that attend the school and they are thriving academically following the abeca method of learning. The classes are small and the teachers give lots of individual attention. The doorbell is annoying because if the kids are loud it's hard to hear it when you are picking up but other than that nothing but positive things to say.

My daughter has been at Mt Pleasant 3 years. I have 2 older children and have never seen a school where the entire staff loves the children and cares for them so much. The A Beka curriculum is one of the best and add small class sizes and amazing teachers that work as a team and it is a recipe for success! My daughter reads 2 years ahead of her grade and keeps learning new things.

I want to point put that the report that the school is 100% black is incorrect. While it is predominantly black, there are several Indian, Latino and white children as well.
