My son entered as a 7th grader and just finished 8th grade. None of his 8th grade classmates are returning for 9th. Im so excited his time there is over. In short, the school is a scam. They spend money to advertise that they are a top school. My son came from a classic Christian school - it was very small and he was interested in sports so we transferred him. The academics at FCS were a year behind his other school. It was literally the books from his 5th and 6th grade class that were used in 7th grade. The academics are abysmal.The textbooks used for most of the classes are so poorly written and understood and the teachers only teach from the book. There is NO critical thinking. The students are bored out of their minds which leads to behavioral issues. The administration is by far the worst- no one has real academic experience. The children of the dean didnt even go there. Its a facade. Extracurriculars and liberal arts- horrible. Run.

DO NOT SIGN YOUR CHILD UP TO FAIRFAX CHRISTIAN SCHOOL. THEY ARE DEPLORABLE. WE HAD A CHILD WITH SPECIAL LEARNING NEEDS AND THEY WERE ABSOLUTELY CRUEL. THREW HIM TO THE SIDE. THERE IS NOTHING CHRISTIAN ABOUT THIS GOD AWFUL PLACE. AVOID IT AT ALL COSTS. WE WITHDREW OUR CHILD WITHIN IN A FEW WEEKS OF ENROLLMENT, THEY TOOK US TO COURT FOR THE ENTIRE YEAR TUITION. THESE ARE TERRIBLE PRACTICES AND BY A DEPLORABLE ADMINISTRATION. THEY ARE NOT EQUIP TO HELP CHILDREN THAT HAVE SPECIAL LEARNING NEEDS. WE WENT WEEKS WITHOUT ANY REPLY OR COMMUNICATION FROM THEM WHILE ATTEMPTING TO FINALIZE OUR STUDENTS WITHDRAWAL. THEY SENT US DEMAND LETTERS FROM ATTORNEYS OFFICES DEMANDING THE ENTIRE YEAR OF TUITION EVEN THOUGH THE SCHOOL POLICY IS CLEAR ABOUT WITHDRAWAL TIMELINES. THEY ARE NOT TO BE TRUSTED. RUN IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION AS FAST AS HUMANLY POSSIBLE.

Read the reviews because they are true. My daughter did the pre-k program and kindergarten. Academically, the school is good. My daughter did very well and excelled because they really do push beyond their grade level. However, schools should also be about community. There is no community because the school has poor communications and poor leadership. From the owner, to the dean of students, to the teachers. They are all rude and egotistical. They dont take constructive feedback well at all and refuse to address any problems head on. The Dean of Students can seem nice, but hes so clearly afraid to make any decisions on his own. Everyone is rigid and cold. They dont do something as simple as parent/teacher conference and when we asked the teacher to meet so we can discuss progress, her response was that its not their protocol and that she has to check with the administrator first. My daughter started a new private school and it is night and day. Better communication, friendly staff and teachers, lots of activities, and everyone knows you personally and cares about your child.

DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS TO THIS SCHOOL I sent my son here and this is why you shouldnt. On two different occasions my son got food poisoning from the chicken and the pasta.Also another time I was told by the school to come pick up my son and I said ok when I got there I asked why they needed me to come pick him up they said that he wasnt feeling good so I took him home and when I asked he told me that he hit his head and didnt feel good so I took him to the doctor and we found out he had a cold and a mild concussion and that the school waited 5 hours to call me. Another time I was told by my son that a teacher started to shake a THIRD GRADER because he was being to loud during a fire drill. In conclusion do not send you kids to this school there are so many better options.

I am in public school now but in August of 2022 all the way to may of 2024 I was in this school. Now let me tell you at first glance this school was very luxurious very organized and clean. At first I didnt wanna go which i shouldve done but I gave in and absolutely regret it. Not only are the staff rude but also some of the students. They say they will suspend anyone if theyre caught bullying but never did. I shouldnt have anxiety when going to math class. The school does not care at all about your well being and although the teaching is alright they just read off a book. Not to mention they would also get mad if we talked about public school or a different school besides fcs which is already a red flag. You can quite tell they only care about money and not the students. There was a Spanish teacher who quit because of a specific teacher. Dosent that already sum everything up? I am so glad that teacher did the right thing for not only her but her kids. They also just defend the teachers it got so bad they one time brung us to the library instead of going to the spelling bee to talk about why we were having issues with our teacher which Im not going to say any names. Every time someone said something she would always just defend her instead of understanding us. I come to school to learn not to just learn and then forget it after a major test. In public school I actually can not only learn but also not forget which is amazing. Also not to mention they start treating you like your an adult once you go to 5th grade the jump between 4th and 5th grade is wild.

I had the worst experience at this school. Do not reccomend. I sent my kid there and he came home with the biggest cut i have ever seen. We went to the hospital and he needed stitches. I called the school and they did nothing about it. Overall not reccommended.

Do NOT send your children to this school! There are better options. This is not biased it is true. My child spent a miserable year at this school. Our current school is so much better. There are several other students at our new school that left FCS as well over the years. Just because the Bible is taught at this school does not make it a Christian school. God doesnt dwell at FCS and I sincerely feel He frowns upon the imps that work there. They dont love God and they are not representatives of His love. I thought the reviews we read prior to coming were exaggerated. They were NOT. I wish I went with my gut. I met a young man who graduated 7 years ago and he had similar experiences. So glad to be rid of this institution, NEVER to return again and I tell everyone where ever I go, to tell more people stay away from FCS!

This school is a joke. Ive never been so frustrated in my life this school has caused nothing but anxiety and frustration these past few months. Weve been trying to enroll my daughter mid school year and at first when we had spoken with the Dean of admissions. (Jenny McCambridge) she made it seem like getting my daughter excepted mid year was no problem. asked for her records and documentation and all of a sudden we couldnt get ahold of her. We were constantly calling the school just for them to say shes at lunch, in a meeting or just left to go home. and I get it I mean as a Dean your running around but weve been told we were going to be called back. instead consistently ignored including emails we would get a response one day but not the next. they say they are faith-based and you would think as a (CHRISTIAN SCHOOL) you would be merciful and make exceptions regardless of the rules and regulations. but no they made no way at all. We even reached out to the President/chief executive. Who is the head no help. Again you would think this school being faith- based they would make an exception even if its against there rules ("Do unto others as you would have them do unto you") think to themselves if I were in there shoes I would want an exception to be made just for me. Finally decide to read reviews on the school and they havent had a good review since 2017-2018 all of there recent reviews are absolutely terrible Ive read each one save your time and money with these people they just arent a good school. This school cares about nothing but money and doesn't care about the children. The teachers and staff are horrible. They are rude and cold. The whole environment of the school is rude, cold and unwelcoming. Nothing about the education makes it worth sending your kid here.

Bullying is a major problem and the staff and teachers do not address it properly. My child and others were being punished with the bully even though they were the ones being bullied. When I requested a meeting with the teacher and headmaster they acted like there is nothing wrong with pervasive bullying existing in the school. There is nothing Christian about this school. Please read the other one-star reviews as they are all true and on-point.

Do not send your child here. We put our child in public school the following year. We would have pulled our child out immediately but they refused to refund our money and stop payment (tuition is very expensive and they don't provide scholarships based on true need or merit). Our child is so much happier where she is now and literally begs to never go back to FCS.

Our family was traumatized and full of anxiety during the time my children attended the school (middle & high school). When we picked the school, we picked it for the christian education and academics. Our children where on the honor roll every report card. We were pleased and felt blessed with the bible teacher and Spanish teacher. Outside of that, I am 50 years old and I have never in my entire life felt this much stress, anxiety, lack of support, retaliation, pure flat out meanness from any school, including my college days. Zero support from teachers, principal, dean. Every single request email, phone call, appointment we tried to make was ignored or not resolved. That also caused retaliation on well behaved children who are on honor roll. what you read on yelp is the truth. There is public shaming of the children especially in Middle school. Our kids would have anxiety cry and didn't want to school. Our kids are older kids. We are Christian family. It is important that you prayerfully consider this school. Yes it's academically challenging but what about kids having fun, memorable childhood instead of trauma and negative memories. what about their emotional well being. For me being in an environment that acknowledges God, prays and teaches bible was the highest priority. I say these words carefully. We need a lot of Christian schools in this country. I am all for it. This school was the toughest experience for our family. Extremely cold, not friendly, emotionally dry, not supportive environment. We felt they set the kids to fail. It's survival of the fittest that will make it in there. Pray. Listen to the Lord and before you make decisions.

Terrible experience. I would not recommend it. They claim to uphold religious values and to teach accelerated curriculum. Neither have proven to be true. The staff is rude and care about nothing but protecting their own. Any complaint is met with immediate and brutal retaliation. They are clearly still stuck in the older days- the school is cold and suffocatingly formal. The handbook indicates clear racism as it states the use of any language other than English during school hours or on the campus as an offense. This is an international school, too. Maybe the high school is great but for younger children it is a very unhealthy environment. There are much better schools in the area and I would implore you to steer away from here.

My child has attended here a whole year and was an honor roll student who had consistently satisfactory marks for behavior. In August of 2021, we started to have issues with a teacher who was demeaning and would publicly shame then in front of their class. I reported this issue, and the very first parent teacher conference we had with the school was scheduled on 8/31/2021 to address my wish for them to move classes. We were denied because the other classroom was full, and the teacher began to deviate the conversation by raising issues with my child's behavior. On 09/28/2021, my child had dropped their lunch and the teacher did not call anyone therefore they went all day with no food. When they got home, I emailed the teacher, and her response was she forgot due to not having enough breaktime during the day. I reported this to the principle and requested again to move. From that point on, the teacher was consistently reporting daily issues with and giving them demerits for even forgetting their lunch box. I met with her and the principle and we had agreed to try and make the guidance more positive and set goals instead of criticizing everything. My husband and I figured it was a bad teacher and we could get through the year and hope for a better one next year. When we went to re-enroll, we were told that due to behavior issues our child may not be welcome back. I called the head of the school who suggested I get a full medical work up. That was it. We had asked to pull our child out and get a refund as we felt the administration was now targeting them, but they refused, and it was $7,200 with aftercare so we decided to try to finish out the year and go to another school in the fall. After, the demerits being documented by the teacher drastically increased and another incident of bullying behavior occurred. We requested to meet with the school to address both the behavior of the teacher and their concerns about our child's behavior. They stated nothing was wrong with the teacher and we were then accused of bullying the staff. We were told since we had an issue with the teacher that until we have a talk with the principle and provide a full medical work up on our child - they were just going to send our child home every time he misbehaved. When we argued that was unfair, the school made serious accusations about the health and well-being of our child. We left. The day after we got a call from Loudoun Family Services about an "anonymous" tip.

Not what it seems. Toured the school and loved it, the next year I went as a student and it was ok in the beginning. I adjusted pretty quickly and had no issue with most students. I enjoyed every class except math, bible, and history. I didnt like math because the math teacher had insane mood swings and didnt properly teach some of the curriculum but I was okay because I was a good student. I didnt like history because the history teacher was a old grumpy guy and he wrote me up for the stupidest reasons. The Bible teacher was a sweet guy and I liked him but he assigned a essay almost every day and expected us to know everything about the Bible. And this was the 2019-2020 year.

A very physically appealing and well located school. The work is advanced in the sense they are ahead of the public schools but this is primarily accomplished with copious amounts of homework. The High School is top notch and a prep-school (for college), however, the lower school (elementary) is not impressive at all. It is very obvious the administration is heavily focused on the upper years and the lower years suffer as a result. There are no breaks, limited lunchtime and tons of homework for such young kids. The clubs are few for younger years (again better in upper). Bible is mandatory but otherwise relatively moderate. Communication overall is average so you have to be engaged. Most teachers are very good but a few are overly strict. In closing, If you have younger children I would highly recommend waiting until they reach middle school or higher before coming here. If you have upper year school children then you have a great prep-school waiting.

My daughter started studying at Fairfax Christian School since last year. I was amazed by how much she learned in the school as a 1st grader, and how happy she was while learning. Nothing is better than a solid education in a loving and caring environment. We will definitely spend more time in this excellent school.

My experience with Fairfax Christian School has been excellent. I love the smaller classes and the individual attention my daughter receives. The school provides a safe and welcoming environment. Overall, Fairfax Christian School is an outstanding school that develops well rounded kids who go on to be successful citizens. I would recommend this school to anyone without hesitation.

I had a terrible experience at FCS mostly due to poor staff and how unprofessional the people who run the school are. A few months ago I saw reviews on niche describing similar terrible experiences but they are no longer listed which is very strange. The school descibes itself in much higher rankings and presitgue than it actually is. After changing schools I realized how much more work other schools require you to do and how much more you learn. FCS provides very basic knowledge of subjects for students. The reveiws on niche are now mostly parents who do not truly know how terrible it is to really attend FCS. The owner can be extremely rude and offsetting to the students and whenever he is around he only searches to get a student in trouble for not wearing their blazer or touching another student (cannot even hug a friend at FCS due to the no physical contact rule) and I have never seen him in my two years there say hello to the student or make a kind casual conversation

Our children love the Fairfax Christian School. The teachers and administration are really the best. The results are amazing. When my children are around public school children the same age, their level of knowledge and understanding of the world stands out. They just know a lot more and can apply it.
